WTF?!? What happened to MyLot?

I logged in this morning and things were as they've always been. Interests and earnings to the left, sorties down the middle. I left to do a little promoting for a few hours. Came back and thought I had messed up the URL!!! WTF? What happened to MyLot?!? For those who were asking last week what happened to all the updates, here's a major one for you. I'm not saying I don't like it, I haven't really been around it to see how it functions, but its going to take me a while to get used to the change. So, how are you liking this new update? What's good about it? What's bad about it? Did we lose anything important? What's your opinion?

There's been some sort of upgrade this afternoon. I can't find a dang hing on MyLot anymore, and this new upgrade is certainly giving us all here on MyLot, someting to talk about, and when we talk we earn. I guess for that reason I can't say that it's ALL bad. LOL

Yes you should have gotten an alert from them regarding the changes. I actually like it because it's more organized. I never did like those sorties anyway..this way the website is way more organized, right?

Yes I did get an alert, but from the way I logged in I saw the new layout before I got a chance to read the alert. I'm still neither liking nor disliking the new layout, but I am not having a problem navigating around as easily as before. It is a little more organized, but don't like the wider dialog box. It makes it a little more difficult for everyone to come up with four lines of text.

the only thing i am concern about is the earnings. i think this was a intelligent thing to do. because most of us know already that earnings starts when you atleast have four lines of post. now it is harder to post four lines here for it has more space. now my concern is that? how is the earnings for the post. do we still need to post atleast 4 lines? the new features looks cool but i think there are more complaints in the ratings and earnings than features.

Yes that is the first thing I noticed when I went to reply to someone. They haven't changed the earning structure or the FAQs that I've noticed, so I assume that we are still to post at least four lines to get at least one cent.
I am with you too on the update. I don't remember anyone having a problem with the layout of the site at all, but everyone has been touched in one way or another with the current faults in the ratings system. They have said several times that they are working on a solution for it, but we haven't seen it yet. I am with you bird, the ratings system should have been the first thing to get an overhaul, not the looks of the site.

I don't care where the stuff is - above or below - but I hate that there are no columns anymore. Looks quite unprofessional to me.

I haven't been here long but I do like the new look. And YES, I got an e-mail from
them telling me that changes were being made so I knew to expect them.

I personally like the new look. We needed a refreshing view. I have been a member here for a long time. We have had the same layout (with minor adjustments) for an extremely long time. I have noticed that many things are better organized now. This is going to make my life easier.

I've been here for a little over a year, and I agree that we've had the same look for a long time. Whether this new look will have good functionality, I don't know. I guess I'm just one of the ones that is resistant to change, at least a little, and now my favorite site is all different *sniff*

I took a nap this afternoon and whenI cam back, I can't open for some updates..I gave 20 minutes and came back and amazed by the different format..I was sitting down for like 5 seconds and tried to orient myself and start again with my routine..
I like it so far but as usual, when something is new, I have to stop and read..LOL!
I heard from a friend that there is something different in posting..I have not tried yet..I will try to think of a topic before saying goodnight!

The only true difference in posting is now the dialog box is wider, making one line carry more characters than before. Bottom line, we have to type more than before to make a discussion or response at least four lines. Not truly a problem for me, since I like to talk, but in some cases it will be a problem because something short that I would say before won't make the four lines now.

I have a 19" LCD Monitor,and now I have big grey borders either side of my homepage! I've gone with F11 to take away my toolbars top and bottom,but I'm not sure I like these wide open (GREY!) Spaces! time will tell...

*Sings* Grey open spaces!!! Lol. This is going to take a major adjustment for all of us, especially those who have been here a long time. My biggest question is the discussions. They say that you should at least type four lines of texts when starting or responding to a discussion. Now the line is a lot longer than before, which means we are going to have to expand our talking, or does it? I don't know if it filters down, or if its the same as before, a line in the dialog box equals a line put up on the discussion. Just one more thing we will have to figure out.

The only thing that I find a bit annoying is when I increase the view size of the text i really then I need to do a lot more scrolling across for some reason. That never really happened before and i guess that could detract from some of the fun I am used but perhaps that is a minor glitch that they may improve on, I am sure they will continue to try new things with the page and layout area and hopefully it will get better and better and more easier to navigate through.

I can get used to this and it doesn't look like we lost anything really important. But it comes with bugs apparently, as usual. Now the site seems to sign you off whenever it feels you are not active enough. I have had to sign back on several times today.
And, of course, none of the issues the members have requested have been addressed. Just made it look nicer.

I signed on today after being gone for over 24 hours and I was wondering if my browser was messing up so i reloaded the page.
I acutally thought for a bit that installing the toolbar (which doesnt seem to work with firefox btw) had changed everything. THEN i noticed the you have 1 alert message and i read it.
Now i understand the changes to my page! Has anyone so far noticed a difference in the earnings for the lines? I know people commented that you have to type more to get the 4 lines with the new layout. If that is an effect it kind of sucks.

Change is required in every shpere of activities. myLot also thinks in the same way. Let us see how better we can accommodate with new changes.

To tell you the truth yes I like this new updates. Finally a set of links on top and easier way to make a new discussion. I wasn't feeling the fact the links were on the left side and everything was so close together now it looks more wide and simple. A little more breathing and more expanded than before. That's what's good about it. So I have no complaints. Sometimes we do need a little change on a site because sometimes it gets boring seeing the same layout all the time. Get used to it, either way were getting paid. It would be a different story if Mylot updated saying they stopped paying members then that be a crazy case for sure.

I was away for a day and when I logged in today I was pretty sure it's my browser's fault. I use firefox in the office (where I usually log on mylot) and at home I work on opera. So I though my browser messed up the coding or something. It took me a minute to actually realize that no, mylot simply changed the layout... I'm not sure how I feel about it just now. It will take some time to get used to the new view... But hey, it might work, so I'm staying positive :)

myLot have send us alert regarding this update, and I thought this new upper menu design is more user friendly than the prior left menu. Maybe becoz I'm new to myLot so I think better this new design, but for those old member maybe they are already comfort with the old ones. But beside the menu, I really don't know what part is new for myLot? any new earning method? never got any info from myLot regarding what's new function etc.
