I broke my Heel!

Ok, so another reason I've been away is because 5 weeks ago I fell down the stairs at work and sprained my ankle and foot and it was so severe that I also broke my heel. I won't be able to fully walk on it for 12 weeks, so I'm just about half way through. I've never broken a bone before, but my physical therapist said that healing from the sprain and the ligament damage will take longer than the break. Has this happened to you before? Were there any long term affects? Should I file a suit against the building owner?

I don't know about filing suit with the building owner. You might want to contact your employer or your own personal attorney and get some advice. Am sorry to hear you hurt your foot. Therapy will help but it will take time. I fractured a thumb about 5 years ago playing softball. Also tore all the ligaments and damaged the tendons. It's never been right and I have trouble using it at times. It swells without warning. I went through therapy and wore a "froggy" on it for awhile. The healing process takes longer because of my age. This is what I get for thinking I was a teen again and could play like I did back then. Duh on my part! Hope you feel better soon, carolbee
