The difference is that a migraine is a million times worse have you ever had a real migraine if so im surprised you are asking the difference. A migraine is I believe a chemical imbalance or something that causes the pain. Its different because often no painkiller will touch it and it leaves you throwing up seeing flashing lights distorted vision the need to sleep etc, very different from a headache! My head doesnt just ache when I have a migraine it feels like its going to explode!

ah but you can have a migraine with out pain also, ive had those a couple of times. But yes when it comes with pain it can be excrutiating and theres not much out there that can kill the pain, generally a dark room some sleep if you can and no noise is what helps mine I normally take a diazapem to make me sleep.

The pain caused by migraine, actually, can be relieved by analgesics in the market. The difference is that migraine is characterized by pulsating pain on one side of head, often accompanied by nausea and sensitivity to lights. Often you experience hyperacusis (noise). Headache is every pain sensation felt in your head. So, migraine is more specific than headache.

For me a migraine is much worse. Its a distinctive pain that cripples you from any activity or even while sitting still. I get them occasionally and often times end up puking. I hate them. The only way to get rid of them is time and sleep and maybe a little Excedrin if you have it.

the difference is that when you have headache it's just head ache, but when you have a migraine you feel sick, too.. you want to vomit and you see lights of colors...when you have a migraine you need to turno the light off in order to feel better... I can talk with some experience because I suffer from migraine ;-)

with a headache its just an annoying ache but with a migraine you can hardly move its a million times stronger than just a headache..my little sis gets them a lot and she is in bed with it most of the day, for her to get up she nearly passes out so there is a huge difference..

I have neer had a migraine before, but someone once told me that it's like a headache under a magnifying glass with a flashing light attached to it, and bells clanging loudly in the background with sires, and someone nailing a giant spike into your head which is already clamped into an ever-tightig vice.
