Did you know how hard it would be to lose pregnancy weight?

Did you know how hard it would be to lose all the baby weight, even before you got pregnant? Before I got pregnant, I was very active and exercised all the time. I was very weight conscious and tried to keep my weight below a certain amount. And if I went above that weight, I would quickly lose the weight. But after my baby was born, I noticed how much harder it was to lose weight. The same old tricks didn't work. My pregnancy nutrition counselor told me that it was better to gain a little extra weight to ensure a healthy baby than to starve yourself and risk the baby's health. And of course, I wouldn't have starved myself! But, I had no idea how hard it would be to lose weight after a baby. Wish someone had told me!

That's right! I did the detox a couple years ago and the weight came off right away and when I went back to regular foods, it came back on. I will have to figure out a way to incorporate the extra fruits and such as a major part of my diet after detox!

I will definitely try it out. We have lots of fruits here and they are affordable. So I will most certainly try! Thank you!

Yes, the same with me. The weight comes and goes. But always comes back. I think it's a metabolism thing.

I had NO idea it would take me as long as it did! I gained a LOT of weight (52 pounds), but my daughter was 10 pounds, 3 ounces at birth! I started to lose weight in 1994 (the year following her birth), first by beginning an exercise regimen; I had a stroke and was required to take physical therapy, so I was exercising more. I began to diet three years after her birth, and started to see a difference (not much, but some). The weight continued to slowly come off (going from somewhere over 180+ lbs. to about 150 lbs.), but not really able to do as much exercising. Between losing my taste buds for 5 months (because of a relapse of my MS, and my mother's passing (again, not eating except the barest minimum to survive), a LOT of weight came off. My belly still protrudes (making me look about 3 to 4 months pregnant), but I'm quite thin now--15 years after giving birth! Not the way I'd go about suggesting one how to lose weight!

No I did not, after my first two children there was no problem with weight whatsoever, I weighed exactly the same after their births as I had before becoming pregnant. However with my third the weight piled on straightaway and it just became worse after he was born it was the worst time in my life really weight wise as I could not shift it. But luckily during my fourth pregnancy and after I lost it all and there is no way I am going to put it back on again.

Don't hate me, but I'm one of those who lost it all instantly. After my first baby, I had allot of sympathy for Victoria Beckham who everyone said was anorexic at the time. I put my jeans on to go to the hospital after the birth!

Oiy! This is not a happy topic for me. I miss being thin and in control of my weight. Before baby, I was able to just decide I needed to drop a few pounds and it would be done like that. Now, none of the old tricks work anymore. I can't stand feeling like I am not in control of my body. Wish someone had told me too.

hi beauty queen I wish someone had told me before handhowhardiot would be and also I had two babies in ten months so did nothave a chance to lose baby weight before I started gaining more weight. and afterwards it was a constant fight so I ended up at fifty with diabetes, now if I had known more I could have done more to lose weight but had no help from my doctors besides the command lose weight. that was not particularly helpful at all. so i finally lost weight to control my diabetes lol.
