I just wanted to share with you a shot from the very beautiful Chocolate Hills in the province of Bohol. Bohol is in the Visayas Region, south of Manila. It is an island province. Although the province is just a boat away from where I am now, I still don't have time to get personally. I guess it is because of the expenses, no budget for that. I asked permission from the owner of the picture and she allowed me to use this. By the way, the girl in the photo is my officemate-friend, Anne. KEEP SMILING = NEIL

No and she never mentioned that. She just told about a dwarf who is already 61 years old now. She actually had photos taken with the dwarf.

Yeah that is a beautiful place to visit but I've never been there. I wanted to visit that place but aside from I do not have enough time I don't have much budget to spend. But I am still waiting for extra more cash to come for me to visit the site.. I'l start with tagaytay first I think.. Happy posting

We have the same reason for not going or visiting the places that we should be proud of, and that is the budget department. I also thought of tagaytay. I been there long time ago when I was still a kid. Thanks. KEEP SMILING = NEIL

Nice hills, they remind me of the Glasshouse Mts near Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Does cacao grow on those hills? Why do they have that name?

I guess they were called Chocolate Hills because there are times that these hills turn into color chocolate. That is especially when viewed from above or from far places. KEEP SMILING = NEIL

Tarsier in Bohol - A tarsier on my shoulder. Cute harmless creature. Hehe.
I have been to Bohol. It was 3 years ago. We rented this "habal-habal" to tour us from the Chocolate Hills to the place where we could see tarsiers. We stayed there for 3 days. The trip was worth it. Very peaceful place. Here's a pic of me with the tarsier during that trip.

Hello neildc, I hope I could see the pride of Bohol someday? How much do you think will it cost to go there? Maybe if I get enough income here at mylot, I could visit the place. Anyway, what are the other tourist attraction you have in Bohol? I live in Baguio City, and asides fro it's cool weather, strawberry, vegetables and all kind of jams, it also has some scenic attraction like Mines View park, the zigzag road, wright park and the very famous burhham park. Oh by the way, we also have wag-wagan area. Have a good day and have a happy posting here at mylot.

But I know that Bohol aside from the Chocolate Hills, have Panglao Island, the Loboc River (the location of cesar montano's film), the tarsiers. Can't really say more. And I can't also tell you how much will you need for the plane ticket. KEEP SMILING = NEIL

I've been there last week. It is indeed a very marvelous experience to visit Bohol for the 3rd time. It's just happened that we have a Corporate meeting at Tagbilaran so we just take one day to tour around the island. Didn't you get a shot on those flying over the chocolate hill? There are so many flying witches and wizards on top on the hill. Try to check it out. It's cool.

I've been to Bohol too, 5 years ago. It's a very beautiful place especially in Panglao Island where you could find beautiful white beaches. Bohol has also a lot of Old Churches, one of which is the Baclayon Church. Near Baclayon Church you could find the site of the Blood Compact. Loboc River is also famous for it's floating restaurant where you could tour around Loboc River while having lunch. Well, my trip to Bohol won't be complete without seeing the beautiful Chocolate Hills, the man-made forest, and the tarsiers. I would want to go back to the place again.

I am from Manila. Since elementary days when I read about this Chocolate hills, I am really curious and until now I wish I could visit the place. You are right, no budget. Well, very soon, because my next plan in life is to tour the island of the Philippines. This year, my goals in life are to tour my mom in Beijing (done already, to buy a laptop, (done already), next is to save money for the business I wish to open and after that save money to tour Philippines. Hahaha, I am a dreamer. Wish me luck. take care

Hi Neildc! Thanks for the friend request.^^ I have been to Bohol when I was still in college and that was five to six years ago. I went to college in Iloilo and part of our curriculum was visit a farm in Cebu and in Bohol. We requested our professor to take us in some tourist spots in Bohol and he did. And we were thankful. Chocolate Hills was really amazing! When I was looking at it, I thought I was looking in a postcard.^^;; Well, because the scene I was seeing I only see in postcards and pictures. But it was really beautiful. We also saw some tarsiers, we went to the white-sand beach near Panglao, and we also went to Hinagdanan Cave. Bohol really has a lot of nice and wonderful place to offer. I will go back there if I have the chance and the money.^^

It would be nice to go back there and enjoy the beach again and the scenery. I don't know if my officemates will push through with their plan to go there. We originally planned to go there last year but it didn't push thru because of lots of things.
