Do you shower/bathe in the morning or the evening?

I've noticed a lot of people mentioning morning showers but I always shower in the evening. I can't bear to go to bed sweaty or dirty. It gets the sheets dirty and when I'm not clean I feel hot and can't sleep. I can understand how a shower would wake someone up in a nice way, but I also hate to get wet in the morning. Showering before bed lets me sleep better and keeps my sheets clean.
How about you? Do you go to bed without a shower/bath and do it in the morning, do you shower in the evening before bed or are you like some people and do both?

Oh dragon, I'm all turned around. I haven't had my own place since January and I have to keep changing my schedules depending on where I am.
Life was so easy when my kids were growing up. I woke up, took a shower, got them off to school and went to work.
Now, my schedule is unstructured and I take showers and baths at different times every day, depending on what I'm doing. If I don't take a shower or bath at night, I have to at least wash my feet. I don't know why it's just the feet though.
Oh, there's also what my mom called the birdie bath. That works in a pinch.

You're on your own with grown kids, too? I miss my kids. I'd gladly schedule my shower around them and put up with the cold water to have them back home again!
When your feet are clean, somehow your whole body is refreshed! Your mom was a wise woman.

I miss my kids too. They're all grown up and married. We stayed close though. Whenever they have a joy or sorrow, they call me first. Isn't that special?
Next year, I'll probably move back to the state where they live. My parents live there as well.
My mom's a trip and a half now. She just turned 80 so she's mellowed out a bit. finally!

I know what you mean, in the summer I shower more and use a LOT less hot water! When I lived in Arizona, it was so hot in the summer that no hot water was needed for a shower--we just turned on the cold water and it was lukewarm.

Hi
I will take bath in every morning before having breakfast and will have a shower in the eavening with out washing my head. I wash my head only once in a day that is in the morning.

That's a refreshing schedule! I prefer to wash my hair in the evening, though, because of all the air pollution and stuff.

I usually shower in the morning, because it wakes me up. With kids around and their hurried schedules, I also have to sometimes switch to the evening. I dislike that because I have long hair and if I have to mess with drying it properly, I'm too alert to go to bed. And if I don't do that, everything gets wet. And no matter what I do, may hair ends up wacky the next day.

I know that well, my hair can be a mess if I go to bed with it damp. I usually shower a couple of hours before bedtime so everything is dry and clean. Kids really throw a wrench into the schedule sometimes but you'll miss them when they're gone--really, it's true!

oh, I couldn't start my morning without a shower. If I miss a morning without a shower, I fill all day long that I haven't fully woke up, and I feel dirty all day. If I have done alot for that day and sweated alot, I would wash off in the evening.

Many, many people feel that way! Since I shower in the evening, I feel clean the next day. It's just an individual thing, I guess. I'm glad you wash before bed. When I was married, my husband rarely showered before going to bed and it was smelly and awful. I wonder how people can go to sleep dirty!

hi dragon54u,
i live in a tropical country. it is always hot here, and we get the sunshine almost all the year. we usually take a bath twice, in the morning and evening. my friends from abroad even sometimes take a bath 4 times a day.

Tropical climates are so beautiful but I would not want to live there because I'd be one that would be showering 4x a day! You are blessed to live amid so much beauty.

It's nice to be clean for bed. Sometimes I shower both times, but like you, I like a clean bed with a clean body.

Not dirty if you wash, we call that a sponge bath. I will do that sometimes in the winter when it's cold--I've done nothing to get really dirty and I don't sweat in the winter but want refreshing before bedtime. It's not as cold as getting wet all over!
There are many people that don't completely wake up without a shower, you must be one of them! Nice, too, that you go to bed clean.
