My 2 1/2 yr old son started walking when he was 14mos old. Yeah, it took him quite before he walked by himself. I think he enjoyed being in a stroller and walker, LOL. I was worried when he reached 1 yr old and he can't walk yet. But they say, child's development varies so need not to worry.

My 8 year old started crawling at 5mo and started walking at 7 months. She was a very early beginner.

Well, I think that every child is different especially with the various milestones in life. My son began walking a little over a year old. He took some time. I can still remember when he started crawling. You can remember those things. They are very special occasions. Also, I remember when my son would pull himself up against the play pen and teach himself to walk. What a proud memory!
