What is the optimal time to spend on MyLot?

Hello everybody! I have noticed after two weeks on MyLot, that it can become slightly addictive and that you start to answer all sorts of questions, which do not really interest you. You also forget to go out for fresh air and your legs are a bit wobly when you do. I want to keep writing here, as it's good fun, but I want the quality to stay high. My question goes to the MyLot veterans out there - How much time should I spend on average each day on MyLot, as I don't want to overdo it? Thanks in advance!

Hi umart! I think that each individual has his or her own optimal time. As long as it's fun you just keep on doing it and comimg back for more too. When you feel exhausted you take a break and come back when you feel fresh again, just as you would in any other situation. What's good for one is not always good for another. Come when you're feeling down - it is a pick-me-up. Come when you're on a high and you can pick the others up if they are down. Whatever you do don't feel you HAVE to it regularly - it's not something the doctor ordered...... but then again if he knew about it, he might!

I like your comment about coming to MyLot when you are down. I experienced that once already and suddenly there was a salvation army out there. That was nice. Yes! I wonder what the Doctor would say. There is no right answer, but having fun is a big deciding factor. All the best from Germany. Umart

Yea,mylot is very much addictive especially after 2-3 weeks here after you all know how everything works out here,or at least the most common ones.I too feel that mylot is very much addictive. And I usually end up spending almost all my spare time and free time here in mylot. Yea,as you have said, because of this we don't get enough fresh air and end up spoiling our health. So,I think that we should have a control over the time we spend her eon mylot.I think that the amount of time that one spends here on mylot depends on the amount of free time you have and the type of work you do,whether you work in office or you are a house wife or you are a student. What ever the case may be just don't forget to relax your self out door atleast 1-2 hours a day.Spend the rest of the time on mylot preferably in splits like 40 minutes or so instead of a long time spending in front of the computer. Cheers! Have a nice day happy mylotting and happy earnings.

Hey! thanks for a very good answer. Setting a definite length of time to be outdoors sounds very healthy and breaking up the time on MyLot into smaller phases is a very good suggestion, which I think I will follow. Thanks for the advice. All the best. Umart

How much time you spend on here to end up not overdoing it is up to you. It all depends on a lot of things and only you know how much time you have to be here. For each person it is different. You will get one answer from one memember and another kind of answer from a different member. I have been here for a tich over a year now and it goes in spurts for me. At first I was here everyday without fail and than I slacked off. Only to come back here again later and would be here everyday. It is a individual thing to decide how much time you want to spend here. The one thing that I have to say has stayed steady is I love Mylot a lot. It is a good site and since I have been here they have paid me four separate times so I can say that this site does most definitely pay.

Your welcome, umart13, I will be looking for that day also. My Mom has always told us kids that when we do something to do it right the first time and that is how I live my life. Yes, they will be caught but my concern is me. And I always go for the quality post to make. Have a great and wonderful evening. Here it is 10:40 at night.

Hi sunshinelady. I see that you are a veteran of Mylot and it's great to read that you still love the site. I do get the impression that the site has a bit of character and is made up of a fairly mixed and interesting neighbourhood. I think I am going to do the same as you and slack off a bit, but pay attention to the quality I write. I spent a lot of time and energy at the weekend on the site and had to deal with some abuse and a lot of rubbish for a few cents, whereas others are just chancing their arm, cutting and pasting and scoring higher on the responses and earnings. I don't want to chase after them, because I believe they will be found out eventually. I would like to be writing to you in a year, when I have 4800 responses too. All the best and thanks. UMart

Hello austere, thanks for your reply. I think 2 hours a day on MyLot is fine. Moreover, I am coming quickly to the conclusion that it is not a bad idea to take a break from MyLot as you did. It is a good site, but there are a lot of cheap discussions, which people only initiate to earn the money. I prefer to have interesting or funny discussions, like I had today about bad movies. Nice to meet you and best of luck! UMart

It really depends on the person and how long they want to stay on. There is no set limit of how much you can do on here. I am on here for hours and my set goal now is about 32 discussion I will go through and respond to a day. I want to increase that nuber as time goes on. I do get out doors for a while as well to get a break but am right back here afterwards. MyLot is very addicting and I love it and always will. I wish you the best of luck and keep up the good work. :)

Hi R96, I am sure it depends on the person. I admire your goal of doing 32 discussions per day and it's clearly your personal goal. I try at the very least to answer any of the top topics that are suggested in the daily digest email I get from MyLot and I also look at my friends topics. Otherwise I am going to try to discipline myself and only come to MyLot, when I have a topic in my head that I would like to discuss. Thanks for a good answer and best of luck to you too! Umart.

Though I''m not a mylot veteran but I want to respond to this discussion. Of how much time you are going to spend it's up to you I think. If you have plenty of time then go ahead, do not limit yourself as long as you are enjoying here. some people spend 3-4 hours, some 5-8 and some only an hour. If you feel you have nothing to do? then DO IT HERE. You will see the result.

Can you tell I've been on Mylot for some time? You are right it does get very addictive and the time just shoots by and quite often you don't realize just how long you have been on Mylot and everything else just gets forgotten about as you start to get deeply involved then you become hooked LOL! I used to spend hours and hours on Mylot, now I don't spend half the time that I used to, I have a lot of commitments like going to the gym, work and earning money through other sites etc. Once I spent about 4 or 5 hours a day on Mylot, now it's probably about thirty minutes here and there. I don't do it for the money I do it to keep in contact with my friends, I have made some wonderful friends on here and I think it's good to make friends that is what this site is all about. So many people think that Mylot is about making money which is a pity.

Hello again Wolfie34. Thanks for your answer! This will be my fourth week on MyLot.com and I think I am beginning to find a healthier balance in the amount of time I spend online. Besides I have found that it is good to get away from MyLot and come back with fresh ideas. I agree with your last point wholeheartedly, as a lot of the discussions are dominated by the money factor. Furthermore, the quality of the discussions suffers as people give replies to earn the money and do not even address the topic. One lady was pleasantly surprised this week, when I gave her a detailed description of what men find irresistibile in women. She was surprised that somebody had actually put some thought into an answer, which is partly a compliment to me, but I think that it reflects badly on the quality of the answers she had gotten used to on MyLot. Have a good week. Umart

MyLot addiction is quite common but it's not harmful, and it can be helped with a little self discipline! I post every day at myLot, but I don't usually spend a long time at the site, as I'm doing other things on my computer. I drop into myLot regularly to see what's new or I check my email and find some new myLot notifications. Yes I am an addict but if I don't find anything of interest here I will leave the site and return later. I still find it fun and on some days I write a little and other days I write a lot.

Hi paid2write, hope you are having better weather there than we are here in Germany... Yes! I am at that phase now on MyLot where I have to be a little more disciplined in the time I spend here, otherwise I could just surf around endlessly. I also spent a long time at the weekend answering a serious discussion I had started, which was more time and stress than it was probably worth. I will follow your advice and be more structured in my dealing with MyLot... So this is my last answer and I am going to take a break now. All the best from Germany to England. UMart

Hi successlog. Yes! I think it is important that we feel happy here on MyLot and write useful stuff. If we do that then it's much healthier than just doing addictive meaningless time on computer. Thanks. Umart

The time you spend on mylot is definately a personal descision. I tend to spend more time on it at the moment to get out of packing or use it as a break between packing (mostly to get out of it). The first two weeks you just want to post non stop every day. Happy posting!

yeah, you are right. Mylot is definitely addictive. I would say that the optimal time one can spend on mylot is about 2 hours a day. If one is keen on earning much,it is up to his/her choice
