I've got ants in my kitchen and they are really hard to get rid of!Is it just a matter of cleaning all surfaces really well, so there's nothing for them to eat?

Hi there AshleyHasan You can buy these plug things that you just plug into a socket and it will emit a sound that humans can't hear but small creatures hate. It shouldn't effect your dog or cat though. I keep meaning to buy one of these myslef but I am not sure if they work for ants, flies or bees and wasps.

You are more than welcome AshleyHasan. It might be worth checking them out on the web first so that you know what they are called in case nobody has a clue what you are talking about LOL

I use window cleaner to kill them, I had to find something that wouldn't make my kids sick. It works, maybe it's the ammonia in it, I am not sure, but it does work. I spray it in front of the door also to keep them from coming in. I hope this works for you as well.

Two ways. 1. Put fresh bay leaves around on window sills and in the cupboards. Ants hate them. 2. Sprinkle around red cayenne pepper and then spray around some regular (the yellow kid) Listerine. Ants can't stand it! Anything sweet you have in the cupboards..also make sure they are in plastic bags, OK? No sweets and the other stuff and they will go somewhere else to find it and out of your home!

I live in Fl where there are all kinds of bugs!! Boric acid, used for eye wash among other things, is good for keeping away ants. Clean everything with either ammonia and water or bleach and water. Then put a bit along the back of all your cabinets and behinds appliances along the floor. This has worked for me in the past. Some people even say to put it outside at the walls along the patio and porch. I haven't tried that.

check where they come in and put a copper coin there. there are also ant traps on the market which are basically a round box with a whole in it about the size of pop-can but then only one inch high. there is some bait in it so the ants will climb in, but can not get out.
