I would like to have more Friends on MyLot.

I don't think i really have that many friends here on MyLot, i don't know how many other MyLotters have but i think most will have many more than me. Maybe i've been a bit picky with who i add, or maybe i'm just no that popular myself and people have not requested much or have denied my own requests. I don't know, but i wish i had more friends on here, especially those who have similar interests to myself. I guess i'm feeling a little lonely or maybe even jealous. I also want more friends becuase i click the 'friends started' tab when looking for discussions most often so having more friends would mean more discussions i can reply to. Plus maybe they would join in my own discussions which mostly tend to get few comments and i'd like to have more people comment on them and give me their advice/oppinon. So who wants to be my friend? Anyone...? *anticipates silence, lol*

I am very choosy about who I link up with because I always respond to discussions started by friends. The ones I invite always start discussion that I'm interested in and actually can respond intelligently to. The first time I was on myLot, I had quite a few friends, but many of them started inane discussions. This time, I went through my old friends list and re-invited the ones I remember that really interested me.

In order to answer your question I need to be a bit nosy. How many friends do you have? I've about 80. That includes you, but then, I am generally willing to be friends with anyone who wants to be friends with me. The other would have to do something pretty outrageous to tick me off...

It would seem you've plenty of friends. Not everyone is active every day here. Lots of people have real life lives that involve children, jobs, significant others, what have you that can keep them away from posting. Out of my 80, only eight appear to be rabidly active here in this community.

To make more friends, respond to newcomer discussions. Newbies feel lost here.

I've just sent you a friends request. I'm in England too so we have that in common.
I'm always happy to add to my friends list and I do read every email notification I get of a new discussion started by a friend.
I don't think you need to feel lonely at myLot. I consider everyone here to be a friend, whether they're on my list of friends or not.
I'm sure your list will grow now and you'll get more responses to your discussions.

Hi there, I live in the United States and I love cats. I like the picture of your black and white kitty. I have asked to be your "friend" because I want to be friends with all kitty lovers. I usually look at a person's "likes" and posts before I consider sending them a friend request. I also do the same if someone sends me a friend request. I have had a couple of people ask to be my friend and I have turned them down. I always wonder why they have sent me a request and what do we have in common. I turn them down if they have interests/posts contrary to what I believe in or if the posts are offensive in any way, according to their subject matter. Please accept my friend request on the basis of our mutual admiration for kitty cats. Thank you.

The first thing i thought when i got your friend request was ohhh that person likes cats i will be their friend. I have to admit i will be friends with anyone who has a discussion on cats or has a cat piccie in their avatar becuase i adore cats. In fact i just ehard mine make a meow coming up the stairs!

as the time goes by you willget more people asking to be your friend. The thing is to have them get the notify botton to on so you get their posts and responces. I have lots that dont do that so I never see what they have posted they ask to be my friend then I heard nothing more from them

I will add you as a friend. I to am lookking for more friends so I can get into more discussions but I wasnt sure how many would deny them. But I will send you if a friend request so we can become friends and respond to each others discussions.

You're exactly right about getting more exposure for your discussions by having more friends. I wrote about this very thing in some tips/articles you can find on my profile.
A lot of people respond only to discussions they receive in their email, and the only way it will be seen is if you're on their friends' list. I don't do it that way, I do everything from the site, but a good number do.

Hi hezoid, it will be a pleasure to be your friend if you want. I don't know which are your interests but you can look at my profile and if they are the same add me as a friend. I have many friends here but most of them never reply my discussions LOL. I made a request twice. The first becames OK but the second had been denied. I felt bad about it and after a time I try again with two others members and my requests had been denied again. Never more I made a request I only accept the requests that people make to becomes my friends. I never denied none and luckly people want to add me as a friend so I have many friends. Hope that you become one of them.

I have an average of 3 friends everyday on mylot and most of them request my fiendship after I have responded to their posts! I am not choosy here, I catch up with whoever requests my friendship-in any case it costs me nothing, to the contrary, it widens my social network!

Then you need to invite members here. I usually get invitations several times in a day while posting. I accept them all. It is nice to have a lot of friends here. Since this is a socialization site.

ME!! hehehe ]me too i like to have some friends here,im doing some of add friend and still waiting for there approval..I know some people dont like to add me then i respect there..It no problem for me as long as if you are willing to be my friend then why not.
