Film remakes/adaptions of tv programmes

any good ones? I mean the ones done usualy years later with a different cast and tend to either be parodies or barely based on the origanal idea - not stuff like the Star Trek or X-Files films,. The Peter Cushing Doctor Who + Daleks films are fun and they were made in the 60s same as the tv series - daleks look great in colour but they're pretty silly. Read today that Edge Of Darkness is being remade as a film staring Mel Gibson and Robet De Niro complete with the plot getting an Americanised present day update.

Well, I don't know if this is better than the original, because I've never seen it, but I like what I've seen of the current Doctor Who tv series. Other than that, I can't think of any tv remakes that I've seen. As for films, this will probably sound sacrilegious, but I much prefer the remake of Sabrina to the original.
