Looking at your life thus far, do you feel you have succeeded to date?

And I am not talking about money! We all have certain goals and wishes in life that change constantly as we get older and wiser. Some of us have straightforward dreams like getting married and starting a family. Others have more intricate goals or dreams in life like being the best at something or climbing Mount Everest! When you consider where you are and who you are today and then look back at all you have done with your life; do you think of yourself as having been successful in all you set out to achieve? Or when you really think long and hard about it, do you come to the realization that you have actually ended up quite far from where you always pictured you would be? And once again I am not talking about financially here!

Money most certainly is not EVERYTHING but we of course do need it to get by! In espect to your other comments, all I can say to you is that your life will be what you make of it; and NEVER underestimate the law of attraction! Take care of each day in the bes way you know how and funnily enough the future will take care of itself! The key is to have faith in yourself and to remain positive! Thanks for responding.

I always wanted to end up happily married on a small farm in the middle of nowhere. Here I am! The world is darn lucky I did not aspire to be a murderous brutal dictator!

Lol. Well I think we are ALL thankful that you did not aspire to be such a thing! I too would like to one day end up somewhat isolated from the world and have always dreamed of owning my own island! I will get there! You are fortunate to have realized your goals and to feel at peace with where you are and what you have achieved. Thanks for responding.

infact, i have every cause to bless my God and be happy. I started from nowhere and nothing, to God be the glory, I have achieved alot - married, have a good car, have a child, have a house, living comfortably, healthy both my wife and daughter. It is wondeful in my eyes!

You are certainly very lucky to have found such a positive balance in your life! And yes, we should all praise whatever forces have helped us to achieve harmony in our lives. All we can ever ask is that we are happy, healthy and both love and are loved in return. There is too much emphasis on materialistic things in this world! Thanks for responding.

My life has turned out what I wanted it to be. When I was younger, I considered going to law school. Part of me still wouldn't mind doing that even now. What I wanted to really do was have 5 children like both of my grandmothers did. I came very close and am a happy stay at home mom. I like to cook from scratch for my family, and grow food in our garden. My children range from 18 down to 5, so I have been doing the 'mom thing' for quite a few years now. I wouldn't trade my life as it is now for anything.

Many people get so caught up in money and careers ect that they ultimately ignore the things in life that are truly important and bring the greatest joy! You are very lucky to feel so at peace with your life and we should all strive for the same. Thanks for responding.

Well if you can afford to NOT have to go out and work and can enjoy the role of Motherhood as you are; then why would you not embrace it? Their childhood is here and then it's gone! You can't get it back! Unfortunately not all of us have the means to do what you are doing and it seems to be getting harder and harder for families to survive in a "one spouse working only" scenario. Personally I feel you are very fortunate.

Thank you for commenting on my response. It makes me feel good to hear that someone agrees with me that my life is good. Many people think I should get daycare and go out to work. I had my chldren because I wanted to raise them myself. Of course money is tight with a only one income , but I think my children are happier and much more stable because I am always here for them. Sometimes I wish I could have more children, but as it is, by the time my youngest is a teenager, maybe I'll have some grandchildren too!
