I am currently reading Can't Wait to get to Heaven. Great story by Fannie Flagg about a beloved woman who passes away and the story shows how she affected so many lives. Each person tells how they met her and how she changed their lives.

Right now my boyfriend and I are working our way through the Purpose Driven Life. Other than that I am reading Leaves of Grass: a collection of poetry by Walt Whitman. It's a good book, though some of his poetry is long and hard to understand. I think old school poetry is an acquired taste lol

Despite reading a lot of sequels and seeing a lot of different versions on tv, I've never actually read the original Sherlock Holmes stories. So, I have the complete set, and I'm starting with the first novel, A Study in Scarlet.

Yes, it is. Of course, I'm biased, because I already liked the character of Sherlock Holmes. But, I always figured he was more interesting when other writers wrote him or when someone acted the stories, but he's just as interesting when Arthur Conan Doyle writes him. And, funny. And, the other characters come to life as well. The mystery isn't my main concern (I realize that might be weird, considering it's a detective story) but it's interesting enough. And, nothing that seems unbelievable. The only weird thing is a lot of the action is told through through different characters relating events to Holmes hours later and somehow remembering everything, including the exact words of conversations, even when someone made long speeches. That's a little silly to me, but probably an acceptable writing style in those days, so I'm overlooking it.

Just started Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night, the third book in Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series. It features a witch and a werewolf. Also reading Jacquelyn Frank's Gideon, second book in her Nighwalkers series. So far, I have not been disappointed and thoroughly enjoying the books.

Right now I am reading "Bake Sale Murder" by Leslie Myer. It's a series of books that she has written and is writing and that one happened to be the next one. I just finished "Fast Track" by Fern Michaels and am waiting anxiously for the next book in that series to come out. :)

I just started reading Sea of Thunder by Evan Thomas. It's about the naval war of 1941-1945 in the South Pacific and it climaxes with the Battle of Leyte Gulf, the biggest naval battle ever fought.

I'm currently reading on...ebooks about programming. For stories, none so far, but I'm opting to finish Tuesdays With Morrie, as I've got the book years before and haven't even finished it. I think I'm like still on the second tuesday.

I have never read this book. Although I have had a few professors I would not mind keeping in touch with because they were such good teachers.

I am reading The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray, which is the last book in a trilogy about a young girl named Gemma Doyle near the turn of the century in England, who discovers that she has great power and a big destiny. GREAT books if you like fantasy. Next on my list is the first book in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer - most of my friends love this series!
