Barack Obama's Ten Point Plan To "Change" The Second Amendment

United States
August 8, 2008 1:06am CST
Hi everyone. I would like to know who all agrees with Obama's plan to change the 2nd amendment. 1) Ban use of firearms for home defense. 2) Pass Federal laws eliminating your Right To Carry. 3) Ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns. 4) Close down 90% of the gun shops in America. 5) Ban rifle ammunition commonly used for hunting and sport shooting. 6) Increase federal taxes on guns and ammunition by 500%. 7) Restore voting rights for five million criminals including those who have been convicted of using a gun to commit a violent crime. 8) Expand the Clinton semi-auto ban to include millions more firearms. 9) Mandate a government-issued license to purchase a firearm. 10) Appoint judges to the U.S. Supreme Court and Federal judiciary who share his views on the Second Amendment. So everyone, what/how do you feel about what he pans to do if he is elected?

You know, the more I here about this guy, the scarier it is that he could become president. If any of this goes through, we might as well give up on trying to ever own anything because if thieves know that your not armed, they can just come nd take your stuff without fear of retribution. After reading things like this, why would anyone want this guy to hold any office? Tianna

i honestly wonder the same thing. And the sad thing is, he doesn't keep it hidden, he lets people know what he plans to do. The 2nd amendment is there for a reason. Because our fore fathers knew it was best and thats why it has never been changed. i also read on news articles where he took the american flag off his plane. for someone who wants to be president of this country, he sure is showing a bad way about it. If i had to really choose, i would have to pick mccain..the lesser of the 2 evils.

That's a tall order if (and I can only hope he doesn't) get elected. Recent events may have put a bit of a damper on his "goals" (Heller decision). But if he does try it's going to be an uphill battle for him. Granted the ammo restrictions and taxes can bypass the 2nd Amendment but only if everyone is asleep. Only time will tell.

This is a crock. Barack Obama supports the Second Amendment. No President has the power to alter THIS Amendment because too many people care about it. It isn't like the 1st and 4th Amendment which people don't really understand well enough so a President (Bush) can ignore them. What you posted is from attack media and is filled with not only distortions but complete fabrications. Almost everything the rabid haters are posting is garbage. I'm a Republican and an NRA member and I find this silly. Please try and stick to something that isn't utter nonsense.

Well REV, if you are a NRA member as well as i am, then you would know these facts because it was the NRA that sent this information out. And if you choose not to believe me, i will upload the information and it has NRA right on it. NOW, you can say what you want, BUT, the facts still remain, these are the things that UR precious OBAMA wants to do if he becomes President. If you want to see the info for yourself, then ask and i will be more than happy to give it to you. But DO NOT dismiss the facts just because you do not THINK it is true.

It's scary, all right. That's just the tip of the iceberg, though, of what he would like to do. I hope and pray he loses... America is in enough trouble the way it is, without his agenda. If he abolishes the Second Amendment, what's next? I really don't want to know the answer.
