Females and Sports

I love sports especially softball so you can imagine how excited I am about watching the Olympics. I played softball well into my 40's but finally had to stop when I fractured a thumb. I still have the urge to play but the ole body just won't cooperate. Felt the need to do a little research on the history of softball and write a small article. Are there other females out there who are crazy about sports or am I very much in the minority? http://hubpages.com/hub/Softball-Facts

I never played, but I do watch my daughter play. She is a college softball player. This will be her junior year. I enjoy watching her play. Now that's she is in college I don't get to see as many games as I would like, but I do get to as many as possibe. I really love this sport.

My husband coaches girl's fastpitch softball in the midwest. He travels with the team all summer. Most of the girls do get college scholarships. Our youngest daughter went to college on a 4 year scholarship. These girls can really pitch and play a great game. Thanks for responding.

I also played softball for many years until I got one back in the face...I was the pitcher! I also played volleyball and bowled until just a few years ago when my knees started giving me trouble. I love watching the Olympics when I can....last night I got to see a little of it....the swimmers and the men vaulting and on the rings. They are so awesome!

I played every sport in high school including one football game. It was all fun. The female tumblers were not as good as the men. The Olympics have really kept me entertained. Love it. Thanks for responding.

I am crazy about sports!!Almost time,I stay tuned to the Channel of sports. I'm interested in ball games , NBA especially .^^~~

Hi carolbee, What old body? you'r not that old, no, I'm not a sporty type but I love to watch athletics and can't wait for the track and field race, but I do admire you for playing soft ball when you were a little younger. Tamara
