keep the fire burning

this is an excerpt from Our daily Bread. i thought it would be better if i am to post it here so as to encourage us Christians out here to really do our part.. modern furnaces have taken the work out of keeeping warm in cold climates. we simply set the timer ont the thermostat, and the house is warm when we get up in the morning. but in former days, fire was carefully tended and fuel supplies were closely monitored. running out could be deadly. the same is true spiritually. if we think our "spiritual fire" can be ignited as easily as a modern furnace, we risk losing our fervor for the LORD. in ancient Israel, the priests were instructed not to let the fire on the altar go out (Lev. 6:9,12-13). this required a lot of work, not the least of which was collecting firewood in a land not known for its dense forest. some schoalrs see the fire on the altar as a symbol for the flame of our devotion for the Lord. Spiritual passion is not something to be treated lightly or taken for granted. it will grow cold if we fail to keep it suppplied with fuel. the apostle Paul addressed the subject of spiritual fervor in his letter to the Romans (12:1-2, 11). to keep the fire burning of our devotion burning strong, we must continue the hard work of stocking our fuel supply with hope, patience, steadfast prayer, generosity, hospitality, and humility (vv.11-16)- Julie Ackerman Link the above passage is a reminder to me most especially. it reminds me of the fire that should always be in flame to the Lord. because when it is not, coldness will soon took place. though at first we liked the feeling of being cold, but in the long run it is killing us softly.. to all christians out there, please join with me in declaring before the Lord right now to KEEP THE FIRE BURNING FOR JESUS!

yeah.. and i am glad te, that we share the same vision, as you can see, when one wood is partnered together with another wood to be burn, it produces so much flame? and that is what we are.. we should be together as brothers and sisters to ignite and to share each others fire. when one is small and down, the other one who is also small, and when combined together, they produces big!! so big! and that should be the same for us... hnmmm..the main thing is that, let us also not hurt each other by our fire.. hehe.. dont play with fire.. hehe
