Its a new school day, what did your child have for breakfast?

My daughter had a bowl of mini wheats (blueberry) with milk and some raisins. Those in the know say breakfast is the most important meal. It jump starts your day. What will they have to eat before leaving the house?

My son will have a big bowl of cereal. I also have whole grain waffles in the freezer for him to make either that day or the next too. I like to buy V-8 100% juice - he supposedly gets a full serving or two of fruits and vegetables and I like the idea. For a growing guy, he eats a small lunch and then chows down back at home after school so I like to get him chock full of good stuff in the morning. He's the youngest and the only one who has ever been inclined to eat breakfast. So I finally have my chance to do it right.

Thank you for BR. Our school year starts on Monday and I went shopping for breakfast and lunch stuff. had a great sale on cereals so got the semi-nutritious stuff like whole grain Cheerios and Honey Nuts. Got the whole grain waffles mentioned above. I held off on the V-8 juice - the price just made me mad. But i will probably get him orange juice instead. I hope you are having a good school year so far.

I don't often get to stick around for breakfast at my house, but I should have a healthy breakfast to start my own day, too. This morning, it was a bowl of cereal. Yesterday, it was just one of those Slimfast drinks. I could, and should, do better for breakfast.

That sounds very much what our kids eat. We try to make sure they have fruit with their cerial in the mornings.

My son hasn't started school yet but for breakfast this morning he had oatmeal with bananas mixed in and a few green grapes.

My son does not start school until Thursday. For breakfast today though, I have no clue what he had to eat. He is in another state with my sister still. He will be home sometime today.

I don't have a child yet, but lately we've been having Koko Crunch cereals for breakfast. I prefer it because it's much cheaper than the other cereals and that it use whole wheat, so it's definitely much better. Although I find it really sweet.
