That is the clang of my green bell peppers. They have finally got some size and quantity to them. For the longest time they were so stunted and small and very few. But thanks to some great typical Minnesota heat and humidity they are thrivinmg like mad now days. This is a shot of one plant out of 8 I have planted. each one seems to have at least 2 decent sized peppers on them. Are your peppers stunted? If they were previously are they geting bigger finally? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

A planting of ornamental peppers - These dark plants that look very purple are really ornamental peppers. The fruit on them looks like little black marbles. They did well this year. This is at one of our parks.
My peppers were seriously late bloomers this year. When they were blooming it was too hot for them to set fruit. If we have a mild fall, I still could get peppers as they keep blooming. The ornamental peppers at the park, however, did great. They had a variety that had dark purple leaves, and the fruit looked like little black marbles. They are grown for looks, not flavor, but I am tempted to have hubby try some. I have added a pic of the planting. There is white vinca, then the purple peppers, and then there is a decorative grass that is purplish as well.

Probably do not. Probably not hot either. I will let you know when I get hubby to taste. My computer often fights with me when I try to post photos. I have quite a few, really.

Last year the peppers did real good, this year they aren't doing so good. I think some of the problem is they didn't get as much sun, because of taller plants close by plus my son put them in pots instead of in the ground. I need to go out there and put them in the ground. I love green bell peppers. The tomatoes are doing great, and the green beans were super duper.

Well I'm glad your peppers finally started growing, I think I responded in that discussion, our peppers wouldn't ever grow very big, we had to pick them, if we waited too long they would go bad, so they never got a chance to grow. I sure like using them in alot of recipes tho, or grilled.

Lucky. My bell peppers didn't do anything this year. I don't know what happened, other than maybe it had something to do with the fact that I planted kind of late. Hopefully I will have plenty of photoes to share next year.

Now you are just being mean. First making my mouth water with your banana pepper pictures. Now making me hungry for green peppers. I wish I had a fresh garden.

I have two green bell pepper plant that I planted in a pails. I've had three small peppers on one and one on the other which is a very small plant. Now one of my pepper plants appears to be wilting up. Not sure what I need to do, if it needs a bigger space to be planted or if I am over watering or under watering. I really don't have much time to mess with plants and this is my first year in doing so since I was still under my parents roost many years ago. Glad your pepper plants are thriving! Sounds like you have been very busy with your garden this year.

Glad to hear they're doing well! It's probably a good thing that I didn't get a garden in this year, though. The weather has been so abnormally cool here that, though I thoroughly enjoy it, it wouldn't have been very good for vegetables!
