Do you prefer or long flight or to do some stopovers?

I really love to travel. Rather than spend 24 hours traveling in a plane from the UK to Australia or New Zealand I like to stopover at some interesting destinations. In Asia Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong are possible stopovers. In the Americas and Pacific New York, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Fiji, French Polynesia, the Cook Islands and Samoa are possible stopovers. Would you be happy on a 24 hour flight? If so what would you do? If not which stopovers would you fancy going to?

I would like a stopover where there is a small town or village or farming community in each place. I really don't like cities. I'd like to visit a pineapple plantation in Hawaii. Something like that in each place. Instead of stop overs, I'd like to be able to spend a few days at each place inbetween before going on to my final destination. My parents had a cool deal. VT to San Fransisco where they stayed a couple day, then on to Hawaii where they stayed a week, then Los Vegas, NV for three days, then back to VT airport. Somehow they got to see Knoxbury Farm, Hoover Damn, all kinds of stuff. I suppose if I was on a tour bus I could stand to tour NYC, but I would rather swim in Hawaii or learn to Hula or use one of the island people's non-motor boats. If I was younger, I'd learn to surf. I like outdoors and country like the wild flower farm in VT or the Shelbourne Museum in VT. I want to go to the Teddybear factory in VT. I think I just need to go on vacation in VT, don't you?

I don't like to have a long flight but sometimes no choice! About stop over, it depends if I have an extra money to spend! And if I can I would like to have stop over in London. I heard from my husband it is a beautiful city.

It really depends. Sometimes I just want to reach my destination, fast. Other times I am ok with, and actually enjoy , stop overs on the way. That said I am not sure I would enjoy a 24 hour flight just because I would be really restless having to stay cooped up in a plane without much space to move.

I also prefer to have several stopovers... than spend 24 hours inside a plane... with stopovers... i can stretch my legs... look at some souvenirs... and try the some new food available at the airport... i remember buying delicious belgian chocolates at Heathrow airport... i just wished i bought more... since that brand was not available elsewhere...

The longest flight I've done was to Bangkok and that was an indirect flight via Doha. I liked having the chance to get off and stretch my legs as it broke the flight up nicely. On the way back we actually did it as a one night stop which then made it even more interesting as we then got to se the country we were going through to. So in answer I would prefer a stop! x
