I heard on news that a lof of Hilary Clinton supporters plan to vote for John McCain in the election. Why is this? Would they rather have a totally different party in power than someone who represents their party?

I think you could devide Hillary supporters in to several catagories. a) rabid supporters who are going to write her in b) people who feel McCain is just closer on their issues than Obama c) people who are simply supporting the Dem party so they vote for Obama d) people who are going to protest, cry fraud and whine no matter who wins in November

I am one of those people who is considering making the switch to Republican this election year. I have supported the democratic party since my very first vote. I was a strong Hillary supporter and I frankly just do not trust Obama and I will NOT vote for him. I have always lived a conservative life and have very conservative values which are more Republican in nature. In fact, many people are surprised to learn I support the democratic party when the topic comes up but I do not and will not support the democratic party this November. I feel strongly that Obama is not a good choice for our country's top spot and I do not want to be one of the people regretting their choice some years down the road like many regret Bush.

I'd really love to meet these Clinton supporters and ask them what made them support her in the first place! It couldn't have possibly been because of any of the issues she's cared about and spent her whole life working on, that's for sure, because McCain stands for the exact opposite of everything Hillary stands for. I'd guess they either know little about Hillary or about McCain or maybe neither one of them. I have a feeling Hillary would be horrified if she thought her loyal supporters could play a part in getting McBush elected! Annie

Hi Annie, I was a Clinton supporter, I was for many reasons but mainly because men being in charge of this country hasn't done too many great things for it. But, I would never vote for this McCain, and if it has to be another man in the office that man should be Obama, not someone out of touch and hotheaded. If you have anymore questions just ask, I have no problem answering them. To be honest, even if some unforeseen event happened and Clinton was on the ballot I couldn't vote for her because she should be supporting Obama, put her differences aside and make sure that we don't have 4 more years of a broken nation. I have lost all respect for her as a Democrat.

I belive they thought that they knew who Hillary was, she had been in the white house for 8 years she knew about what was happening and now that she was not the one to get the nomination, they dont' know this Obama, he is a junior senator and they don't have the faith in him to keep us safe from another attack. At least they know McCain he has been around a long time, I know that the dems here where I live believe he has no experience to lead this country. And I believe that with the dems they will go to the other side if they don't get what they want, just the way they are, but then so are the other side, this is not an electon on who would be better to run this country but on Obama's way of talking and his fancy education and if I have to put my life in someone's hand it will be McCain at least he has been around for a long time, Obama took Biden as a VP partner so that he thinks the people will vote for him cause he has someone now who is good in foreign affairs, if I have to have him run to someone every time he needs to make a decission then let Biden be president.

I don't why the supporters would not support Obama. I was a Clinton supporter and when it was clear that Obama was going to be endorsed by the party, I just moved over to supporting him. I guess to each their own, but I cannot take four more years of Bush, and after having so much interaction with Conservatives on this site, I will never vote for another Republican LOL.

I think Obama lies! He has been tied to so many terrorists in his campaign & I am horrified that americans are still blinded by his lies! He might claim to be a Christian and not of the Muslim faith, but that is too close for comfort for me and too close to 9/11 for that to be trusted. What if he is just part of a big scheme on the US, to lie to us about change, get into office and he is actually a terrorist who will take over the US? What a great way for the terrorists to get to us.

First of all, welcome to myLot and I hope you enjoy your time here. Next, I hope you're thinking about what you're saying here! "What if he is just part of a big scheme on the US, to lie to us about change, get into office and he is actually a terrorist who will take over the US?" I can't stand Bush and didn't and don't trust him but I still thought those who accused him of being behind 9/11 were being ridiculous just as what you said above is. I don't mean to offend you but think about it. Annie

I think your imagination is getting a bit carried away there lol. I personally feel uncomfortable when people brin gup the whole Obama Muslim thing because to me, it sounds as if they are saying that it would be a problem if he were muslim because they are terrorists. Maybe you do not mena this but it juts seems to keep being bought up, so people must have a problem with it but I do not know why.

I'm one of the ones who don't trust him......He says one thing and does another...I am a Mother who has children in the Miltary and the Grandchildren are starting to join now....He want's to bring the troops home from Iraq but doesn't think when he starts the pull out what it will do to the ones that are left there and of the people who are trying to stand on their own but aren't ready yet.... And I defintly don't like Joe Biden.......He talks from both sides of his mouth...Durning the primarys he talked against Obama but when he was asked to be vice president he jumped and ran......... As for voting for either of them there is no way I will....I would rather not vote at all as to vote for the people that we have to vote for....... Lets face it who have we got running on the Independent party he's just as bad as the democrates and republicans..... Makes you wonder what we are going to do for a president and vice president this time.......

"And I defintly don't like Joe Biden.......He talks from both sides of his mouth...Durning the primarys he talked against Obama but when he was asked to be vice president he jumped and ran......... " This is something that has been bothering me as well. Biden was quick to point out repeatedly that Obama was not fit to be President and did not have the experience to run the country. However, when asked to be the VP he jumped at the chance a bit to quick to suit me! I guess the opportunity to be Vice President was more important than his belief that Obama was not the right candidate for the job of President!

It seems to be greatly exaggerated, and it's even arguable that the so-called "PUMA"s are merely Republicans in disguise trying to open the wounds of the primaries and stir the pot.

Uh-oh, Clarus, are you ever going to get it now...lol! How dare you dispute anything our rambling rose says, don't you know that you're demeaning her and calling her names and maybe you'll now be right up there with me as the most miserable member of myLot! That's an honor that shouldn't be taken lightly, my friend. Annie

"he was faithfully in the Islam faith in to his adult years in his own words" lol, liar. Here are "his own words": "This is something that keeps on being misreported, so I’m glad you asked me...I’ve always been a Christian." I'm not even going to bother debunking the rest of your nonsense, after finding a bald-faced lie in the second sentence.

I am not sure why thy would do this,. But I think it is because they do not feel that Obama will make a good leader. Not too many trust him. I have heard this several times myself.
