Yes, it is true. Someone has said the following. "Palin has run a business, a city, and the State of Alaska. All Obama has run is his mouth." My intial finding is that this was said by Mark Steyn. I say this is quite a statement. It is so fair and true the Obama campaign will probably not respond to it. What do you say?

That is a Classic statement!! But, They won't respond to anything that they couldn't frame as an attack. And this is just the truth so they would That to get out..

That would be a GREAT campaign slogan! Too bad it won't all fit on a button, but hey, I bet a T-shirt would handle it.... Someone pointed out the other day that Palin has more executive experience then Obama and Biden combined, so the arguments from the left that she is not qualified are pretty useless.

It would make a 2 or 3 line T-shirt. Pic of Gov Palin on the back.

Let us apply what Hillary has said about Obama "All Obama has is a speech." Yes I know that applied to John McCain but you get the point. One candidate has experience and one candidate does not have any experience to be President.

I'm now for McCain because he is better than Obama and I think McCain will give Gov. Palin enough real work to do that she'll gain the experience to be the first woman President.

Well if I was in Obama's shoes I certainly wouldn't bother responding to it! Is it really anything new for a Democrat to be far more theatrical than a Republican? What has amazed me is the differences between the Democratic Convention set-up versus the Republican Convention set-up. It is like a red carpet Oscar function versus a middle America mall opening! So many bells and whistles at the Democrat event it's just insane. Did Mardi Gras move to NYC and no-one told me?? The talk going on in regards to each event is interesting also. A McCain representative was nice enough to explicitly point out that McCain would be talking from a lower stage than Obama so he may address the people directly rather than talk down to them from above! Priceless! We can love or loathe the constant word plays and pomp and circumstance surrounding each and every detail; but we all know it is this crap that can ultimately turn popular opinions. The Palin retorts can't be far away from the Democrat side either..... The best is yet to come!

Symbolism over substance is what Rush Limbaugh use to call all of this stuff.

Rush Limbaugh is one heck of an interesting guy. He has had hsi share of controversy I guess but at least he shoots from the hip! He certainly gave Clinton a run for his money some time back..... What did they refer to him as at the time? "The Opposition Leader" or something like that?

Palin is an awesome choice for McCain's running mate. She has a ton of political experience, mostly in executive capacities. She has far more experience than Obama has, and I think Mark's comments are right on target. Palin is much more qualified to be president than Obama. Even Hillary, in her primary run, commented on Obama's political experience in compairson to hers, John McCain's and a few others. Her assessment of his political experience is, "Obama has made a speech."

Yes, Palin for President, either 2012 or 2016, depending on whether John McCain wants to run again or not.

I completely agree! Hearing Obama speak at the convention was interesting. Sure, he's got all these lovely plans and goals. And he's definitely a smooth talker but there's really no substance there. He doesn't say how he's going to do all of this. Listening to him, I got the impression he was just telling everyone what they wanted to hear to make it sound good and gain votes. His experience is minimal..if not nonexistant. I think Palin was a great choice. She's a fighter and she stands up for what she believes in. And not being afraid of the "big old boys" helps too.

Hillary herself has said something to the effect that Obama has to his credit that he once gave a great speech. Palin on top of the Republican ticket could beat Obama. John McCain with his many years in the Senate and the military should beat Obama handedly in a sane, thinking world.
