you run out of hot water? When you have out of town company do you try and stagger the shower schedule? Some in the morning some in the evening. We have reached what I think is our limit already this morning. How do you handle this?

Only one can shower before the water runs out. Silly I know. We have a 40 gallon tank and could take 2 showers and do dishes. But it was brand new just a few days old when my nephew was staying here and he blowed one of the heating element out of it. So now that has to be fixed. So we only get one shower with just a little extra hot water to do dishes.

My husband works and gets sweaty all day so he likes to take his showers in the evening after work. So I take mine during the day and the others take them before he gets home from work so that works out fine for us..

Actually, there's just Hubby and I. I take my shower in the morning and he takes his in the afternoon or late morning so we always have hot water. When a friend was staying with us for a few weeks he used to get in there and just stand in the hot water for what seemed like forever. I finally had to put a limit on it b/c he was using all the hot water in his shower...they were lllooooonnnnnnggggg showers. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I usually shower in the morning after getting up. A shower in the morning makes me feel more energetic. In the evening I take a shower before going to bed as it helps get me relaxed with a better and more quality sleep. In summer I always take a shower before going to take a nap. In a word, I love to sleep with no sweat on me. I love to feel comfortable whenever I sleep. Thank you, ersmommy.

at my house the hot water replenshes after 15 min. So once the water is turned off by the time that person dresses it is ready for the next person but dont run water any where else in the house or shower becomes a drip Schedualing can be very tricky and a few evening showers is a must ... company are best left to shower at the hampton inn

I have no idea. It has never been an issue here. The kids bathe in the evening and I shower in the morning or mid morning.

Our water heater seems to work just fine if you stagger showers a bit. I was third to shower today and I didn't have any problems. Not like a dorm situation here where ten guys open the hot water at once, though. :)
