Wouldn't Eternal Life SUCK!

Come on I actually hope there is no God. The only benefit the fake entity gives us is the comfort of potentially having something after we die. Where you can be always happy and sad (which completely opposes his wish that we have free will). And think living forever would be so boring. You would live a billion years, then another billion, then another and another! The thought of it tortures my brain. On the other side if it is true I am glad I don't believe in God because I would rather spend eternity, if giving the option in Hell. At least it's more entertaining based on the scriptures descriptions. So would you rather eternal life or limited life?

You had me untill Hell. You would rather burn in hell and yearn for ice water forever. Or be happy and joyous in heaven. I know, the thought of living for billions of years tortures my brain too. But I wouldnt want to spend it in hell. Hell is a tormenting place. Heaven is much much much much much better. There is nothing entertaining about hell.

Okay just think about being in a house fire. You are stuck in there and cant get out. You burn everyday but you dont seem to die. You are hungry and starving but there's no water or food. The heat is worst than that of the sun. Okay does that sound like fun.

But I would adapt to the pain. Maybe I would adapt to the happiness to but a world of constant smiles doesn't appeal to me

I don't know why but the prospect of burning forever sounds a lot more entertaining than being happy your entire life. I couldn't handle being around people being happy all the time.. that would be mental torture

Sorry to burst your bubble, there is a God. How do you know if it will get boring? You dont know what Heaven is like. I would rather be in Heaven than Hell anyday of the week.

First of all you said there is a God, claiming you know. Please provide your evidence as to why you feel that way. Secondly, eternity is FOREVER.. just the thought of it makes me shiver

If there wasnt a God we wouldnt be having this conversation. God makes the grass green, the sky blue. He made Adam and Eve, and all of the animals. The proof is all around you. I need not go further. No one knows what Heaven is like. You dont know what they do up there. You dont know. I doubt that they get bored. Eternity does brings shiver. I just try not to think about it too much.

Oh come on, that isn't evidence. Does that mean things imperfectly designed me God doesn't exist?

Ok, when you talk GOD you have to have somewhat of an open mind because first, we do not know for sure what is IS, probably cannot except it being everything, it is not measurable to human standards. If there is Eternal Life I would like to think of it as Reincarnation, completing many lives and then living lives simultaneously between 'dimensions', if you think that way then eternal lives could just be you living many different lives, from dimension to dimension it would be mere variations of what you have lived, maybe you are going to college in one and not the other, etc etc. In the spirituality many believe subconscious mind knows all because you are all. I prefer this kind of eternal life to the more worldly eternal life idea.

That is a fair enough viewpoint but surely you can't be a Christian and hold this, true?

I don't think I would find eternal suffering entertaining but to each his own. As humans we are bound by linear time...tick...tick...tick. What makes you think that the afterlife is also based on linear time? Eternity, existence, spiritual form...none of that is known by us so, yes, I do hope that there is an afterlife and that I am able to spend eternity, in whatever form that is, with the people I love.

If time is of no essence there than that's fine but the concept sounds BORING!

Well it may not be boring for the first while but everything gets old eventually. Like when you get a trampoline for example. You go on it everyday for like a month because it is new and exciting and after a while you grow bored of it.

Given your age, your thought process is probably okay. Wait until you have actually lived awhile then make up your mind about such things. Besides, these are the things we will not know the answer too until we die. You still have lots of time left in Life, hopefully

Yes, I believe that is true. I guess that means that all them scientists will have to stop attending church services As you age I fear that it won't be eternal life that sucks but the life you are in

You do know as I grow older science will just be unraveling more facts to oppose God's existence.

I would choose Enternal Life on heaven but not in hell. Eternal life can't be boring because everyday should be happy singing in heaven, rejoicing and visiting in every galaxy in space. Its great to have no problems in heaven where there is no suffering, problems, hunger and sadness, everything in this earth is temporary, even your riches are permanent in this place.

Doesn't the thought of experiencing virtually the same thing every day bore you?

Hell is no more entertaining than heaven according to the description in the Bible. And according to the Christians' understanding heaven is not a boring place. Heaven is not where people float on clouds with white robes singing all the time. That kind of picture is not the heaven of the Bible.

Then WHAT is it? A land full of elegant streams and delicious, juicy fruits that you can eat on demand?

I think you have a reason for saying that. But for me, concluding that eternal life is boring will only reveal that I have a limited mind. God gave us just a glimpse of what it will be in eternity. Thinking about the earth, people have been living here for a long time and there are many yet to be discovered. How much more will it be when we are not limited on staying here on earth anymore.

yes it would who wants to live for ever you would run out of things to do

I'm confused about atheist and agnostics. So many of you seem to blame the God you say doesn't exist for the problems of the world, and Satan comes across as the good guy which I really don't understand. I don't think you really don't believe in God. I think you just don't like Him for some reason. As far as whether there's a heaven and hell and what they'll be like, I believe they both exist. Hell was created for Satan and the fallen angels that sided with him against God. It was never meant for humans. Unfortunately, there are those who will reject Christ and will end up there, but I'm convinced it won't be the eternity you seem to think it will be. I also don't believe Heaven will be the boring place you seem to believe it will be. I believe time will no longer exist. I believe things will be repetitive. I believe we'll have jobs to do, but it won't be laborious and we'll never get tired. I know I can't prove or disprove any of this, but the things in the Bible that can be proven have always been proven to be accurate. So why wouldn't I believe the rest?

First of all I asked this question assuming God did exist. I in now way believe he exists and therefore I can't hate the non-existent.

Correction: I believe things will not be repetitive.

I wouldn't mind eternal life if i was sent to Heaven after I die. i would be the happiest in fact if that happens. But if I'm supposed to go to hell i would dread eternal life. i would be burning in the fires of hell forever and ever and ever. My gosh i can't imagine also how miserable that would be!!! in such a case I would obviously prefer limited life and that too of just 1 day so that I'm out of hell soon enough.

Well! Different religions say that one will spend eternity in Hell and others state they will go to Hell for enough time until forgiven. But I can understand your stance.
