Childhood Weird Funny Thoughts, Can you remember any?

When I was 4, my Mom gave us candies when she arrived home from work, all three of us, our oldest brother, then my older sister and I. But our Mom gave all of the candies to our brother giving him the "power and authority" to distribute the candy. There were around 15 - 20 candies (I think) that our Mom gave him to distribute amongst us, and I ended up receiving only 3 candies. While he was walking towards me, he and my older sister already had candies in their mouth. Then I thought, "No fair!" But I silently protested. I kept that "hurt", and I decided to do something about it. I never ate my candies, but instead, I buried it in our flower garden to "plant" it. And I thought, "When my candies grow and bear candy - fruits, I will never give any of my candies to my brother or my sister." LOL. I just thought everything came from plants, like there were trees that would have a bag-fruit, or a shoe fruit, or a pencil fruit, a car fruit, or even a building fruit! And then we'll just get to harvest it someday. Can you believe that? Where in heaven's name did I get that thought? I was never told about it. LOL. My candies decayed, they never grew. LOL Any funny childhood thoughts that you can recall?

lol! One of my early trick or treating experiences, a man had run out of candy and gave me a quarter. After he closed the door, I put the quarter on the porch. I was supposed to get candy not money! Mom told me about it when I got older. lol

LOL. Nice one Phelyne. And I remember getting upset everytime I'm given a paper bill, I wanted money to but things, I was referring to coins of course. I didn't want a paper, I wanted money. LOL. That is really funny. Thanks for sharing here. :)

lol! I think that's a kid thing. I remember my boys being like that, when they were younger. I think it has something to do with it seeming like more. When they realized dollar bills were money too, they tended to want ones, rather than larger bills, because it seemed like they had more money. lol As it's been said, many times, kids say, and do, the darnedest things. lol!

my mom used to make me think that there were little invisible kids in our house. i can only remember the girl, and her name was nanis. i used to always "play" with her and talk to her. i started when i was really little and i think that sometimes when i find myself talking alone, im talking to her. i used to also run around narrating things because i always imagined a group of little tiny people following me everywhere not knowing what was going on and it was my job to fill them in on it. i got caught one time doing it in school by a p.e. coach and he just stood there and watched me. he thought i was talking by myself and he told me that i needed to talk to a counselor. lol.

The only weird thing i remember that happened during my childhood days was when my sister got possessed by bad spirit. And a succession of scary things happened in relation to that. Things that until now I could not explain.

It's funny how our mind retains only certain memories of our childhood and in such details! My clearest memory of my childhood (the earliest I can recall) was when I was a toddler...because I remember toddling towards a bench in response to my mum's voice. My parents were going to take my photograph, and I turned and stood facing them. I don't know why, but I had this very sharp picture in my mind, that I lifted my dress a bit - and I heard my mum asking me why I was holding up my skirt. And that was all I could remember of that episode. I had the photograph they had taken of me, holding up my skirt, like doing a mini-curtsey!

You're so charming Lazeebee. :). For a little girl you already know how to pose like that? Wow... That's so cute. I'm sure your parents were so amused with you, I can imagine their joy. :) Thanks for responding. :)

When we were little, we eat fruits a lot. Our folks keep on telling us not to swallow the seeds because they will grow inside our stomach. But sometimes we forgot :)

Hey allurejan. :). You forget about it, I'm scared of it. :) I got so worried one time, when I swallowed a seed, I thought it will grow through my mouth the following, I got really scared. LOL. What's funnier is, no one ever told me about it. LOL. Where in the world did I get that thought?

My mom migrated when I was about 5 or 6 years old and we would make these audio tapes for her when we were younger. In one tape, I guess I told on my brother and sister. I complained that "just because I'm the youngest, they don't listen to what I tell them to do" My brother wrote my mother asking for a robot who would bring him sodas whenever he wants. I have this letter in my possession and would bust it out during family dinners and we'd all get a good laugh.

Yes, the day the Power Ranger action figures came out. My mother was able to get about three or them, but the others were so hard to find. She was doing everything in her power to get them all for my brother and me. She did not have, but she wanted to in order to make my brother and I happy. I have never seen a woman run to so many Toys 'R Us's to find these action figures. By the way, these were the 12" action figures, the ones with the action grips and totally moveable arms and legs. They were awesome.

Wierd thoughts....hmmm. I used to ask my father to get the moon for me. LOL what a funny thing for me to ask. It was brown out then, it was pretty dark, but the moon was happy and really shinning bright, i asked him to get the moon and put it in the basket I was bringing. It brings back smiles and happy memeories when I remember that incident, father just laughed so loudly and carried me in his arms and explained that the moon wont fit in my basket.LOL I miss father.

hi I remember as a toddler sitting on a coarse black blanket'in our veggie garden while my mom dug up peanut plants and took'off the nuts, and I all the while was digging in the dirt and puttin the plants back in. My mom at firstwas mad and angry then she started to laugh. I guess I was maybe two years old. but i remember wondering why she was digging up those plants so I just replanted them. Now I remember catching my son at five with a pair of scissors carefully cutting off all the fringe from one of my bath towels. I yelled in anger then had to laugh as he said, they were all torn so I just cut them off for you. Kids do get the funniest thoughts.

That was so thoughtful of you Hatley. :). I'm sure your Mom was overwelmed with mixed emotions at that time. LOL. My older sister and brother were also reprimanded because they tried to pick some "seeds" from the flower garden to be planted. Mom was so mad because the seeds that the picked were actually flower buds. lol. these kids.... LOL!

There is a sign on our roads which has an umbrella and some rain drops above the umbrella. It is a sign that shelter is nearby for motorists. But when I was young, I used to think that it's a sign saying beware, it's going to rain. And it seems to confirm my thoughts, because everytime I passed that sign, it was raining! It was mere coincidence of course but I must have that idea for a long time.

LOL,how lovely you was. (I think all of children is pretty.I like children.) Er,coming back to our discussion, when was a little girl,I just thought if we ate something with their stones(the hard covering enclosing the seed in certain fruits, such as the cherry, plum or peach),they would be grow a tree from my bingy. So i was very afraid of that.

LOL! That is so funny! It really scared me when I accidentally ingested a seed of a fruit because I thought it would grow in my tummy, and there would be branches that would come out from my mouth, and ears and knows, and I would be carrying a tree with me, in my head, in school! That would be so embarassing! LOL. Thanks for responding Jenny. :)
