Think there brains are very active and dream of what they did day before so that they are sort of on the move all the time my grand daughter is all over the bed and she does end up in mommas and daddys bed sometimes in the middle of the night and she dont take naps! she will be 4 in Nov. but has been about a year she hasnt took a nap. Might try some Lavender oil in her bath at night that seems to sooth them for awhile!

hahaha yes its funny dearbut about being full tummy yes thats also possible but i think theres a mean reason for that.she is like that from the beginning.maybe because i spoiled her and now she cant sleep without playing my hair but thats not also the mean reason.i don tknow why cant she sleep like other kid.

It could be a type of insomia. You should ask a doctor about it. Otherwise you can see to it that just before she goes to bed she does not excite herself by watching an exciting TV show or doing anything else to raise her tension level. Because it could be the tension and that can lift just before she tries to sleep and keep her awake.

I definitely know how you feel. My daughter will be 3 years old in October and she does not sleep well. Some nights she does not go to sleep until 2 am in the morning. If she went to sleep at 8:30 pm at night she would wake up around 11:30pm or 12 am and then I cannot get her to sleep until 3 or 4 am. I have repeatedly told her doctor about it and he thinks that she will outgrow it. I am always on the look out for anything that I can do to get her to sleep.

well i guess you must make your daughter accustomed or used sleeping in a specific time of the night and before that no napping for her..so that she will have a sound sleep..since napping in the afternoon and wake up nearly dark maybe the reason for not having a sound sleep or a restless night..

I remember when I was still a kid. I can't sleep too one night. My dad gave me a cup of milk and I drank that. After, my mom relayed me a story as she read a children's book. That was all. I just fall asleep and my parents were happy.

Hi bombshell..is your daughter hyperactive? If so do you let her have anything to eat or drink before bedtime if so maybe it would be good to cut that out a couple of hours before she goes to bed and ifshe asks for a drink let her have a little bit of water..other than that have you asked if she is scared of anything in her room that may wake her up or frighten her if she is find out what it is and try to reassure her about it but please pm me if thats the case, I maybe able to help...apart from that am not sure what it could be or why.blessed be littleowl

That is not a healthy sleep pattern. I guess she feels most comfortable when she is in bed with you guys and waits for you guys to go to bed to climb in with and let her stay with you. You shouldn't encourage that behavior as she does not get a restful sleep that way. It will effect her later on in life, especially in school. How old is she? Does she still nap in the day? That could be the culprit, too. Establish a good bedtime routine, stick her in bed at the same time every day. And make sure she stays there.

hi there,i know its not healthy and thanks for the fast reply.she is 4yrs old now. since she is in kindergarten she does not want to sleep in the afternoon, she is busy playing and drawings.from the beggining of her birth she is always like that cannot sleep longer.i am jelous other mother that they are relax while the baby is sleeping but mine is not!!even she is full but she is different.i think i had 3 times experience that she sleep long,i was wondering coz it was already sunshine but she still in her bed.the last time she had long sleep was on her 4rth birthday, she woke up almost 7 and that was great!!!

My son does that sometimes where he wakes up several times and then comes to sleep with us. I think it is pretty normal. I sounds like it has become a pattern though and not a good sleep habit. When my son starts doing it to often I will take one night and just keep putting him back in his bed and telling him that is where he goes night night at, but he is two and this seems to work. How old is your daughter? Age could have somehing to do with it.
