It is said,a person is the master of his own destiny. Within one's own surrounding and limits of capacity and resources, a person acts on his/her free will, the greatest power that God has gifted. One live in anyway,he/she desires, either for good or evil. One is gifted with the freedom of action,in his/her own natural setting and makes his/her own destiny. What are your view points?

Good day.. To some point yes, he is the master of his choices but destiny is the one that give him those choices to choose. We're not the total masters of our destinies

I agree with that view totally. Whatever the mind can conceive can achieve by Napoleon Hill are so true indeed. Even though for right now, I'm not rich, I try to stay positive and think positive. With being able to make money on here, I hope to be able to become financially free before the end of this year. Working towards what you want will bring someone closer to their goal compare to ones that just wish and wish.

I agree that we all have choices. The choices may not always be the ones we would like to have, but we do make choices every day. A saying I often heard was "You are where you are because of the choices you have made." While that isn't always very comforting when I'm unhappy with where I am, it is empowering to know that making different choices will put me in a different place. There are many things in my life that I did not choose. But I do chose how to deal with those situations and that determines what happens next. Having free will isn't always an easy road.

Yeah. definitely.. what one thinks and implies comes back to him! Destiny is drawn according to your deeds and your plans! you can't rely on GOD..there's a saying GOD HELP THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES... so it says it all! action is important word when it comes to destiny..acc to me~

Hi, It is said that freedom and liberty are the supreme blessings and the most bitter disappointment is a feeling of happiness , a feeling that one has no independent personality. A feeling that he is just like a sheep in the hands of a shepherd and that he has no control even on his own food, sleep, clothing etc. A feeling of quiet endurance and resignation resulting from helplessness is more consuming and oppressive to human kind then anything else, Generally speaking, most of the philosophical questions do not affect the spirit attitude, and actions of man. The practical attitude and social influence of a person are not influenced by such questions as the temporal eternity of the universe, finite or infinite the theory that many cannot emanate from one. Man's way of thinking about this question affects his personal life and social attitude.

Many thanks for nicely responding and sharing your view points.I do understand your areas of concern. The freedom of action one enjoys, given the conditions and state of his/her surroundings, enables a person to perform to fulfill his wishes and desires. The quality and effectiveness of any action depends up on the quality of the performer,up on the associated circumstances, and up on the influence of the surrounding. The quality of the performer may be of higher order in terms of orderly habits, strength and stability of mind and clear thinking, but unless the circumstances and surroundings are favourable to his/her actions, the outcome will not be fruitful. The surroundings we live are either consciously created by us or created by external factors, and is governed by the law of nature. An action should be done for the greatest benefit of the performer.More effective action needs more effective thinking, and more effective thinking comes from a mind of complete awareness of one's own Being or absolute reality. The performer needs to stay untouched by the binding influence of action and the binding influence of the anticipated fruits of action. An action is not to be done to satisfy life only at the sensory level, but extending much beyond the relative state of existence. It is necessary that the thoughts behind the action should be more powerful. In the state of higher consciousness of one's Being, the mind is linked to limitless life energy and vitality, supporting actions to become more fruitful and effective. This is what I believe. Have a nice day!!

Yes I agree with this. You are the master of your own destiny. Simply because you have given an option to mold your life as to what you want it to be. God had given you the courage to change that which you can change, the wisdom to distinguish right from wrong. You are fully equiped on how to live your life well.

yes i think we do make our own paths in life so i think to be on the right path we should listen to the prompts we are given from our inner voice and our sense of right and wrong...

I do agree with this statement, yes. Although it is human nature to constantly look to blame everything around us for challenges and hardship in our life, the responsibility of who we are and where we are ultimately rests with ourselves. We are all that we choose to be and strength and weakness deos come from within!

yes I agree with that to a certain extent, but I also know that some of us are stuck to play the hand that life has dealt us. A person has the ability to change for the better (or worse), but it is also very hard to get anywhere in life if you don't have anything to work with to begin with. Case and point...I could make a lot more money if I had a little money to work with to get started.

Many thanks for nicely responding and sharing your personal thoughts.I agree with you to some extent.Life is not a bed of roses; one is expected to face challenges and setbacks, but a person with positive outlook, unflinching determination and consistent effort eventually tastes the flavour of success. In this context, I do like to quote the saying by Henry Ford, "If you think you can or if you think you can't,you are right" Wish you the best of health and happiness!

I totally agree with that. What we behave, what we process, what we gain, all makes our own destiny, which cannot be compared with anyone else's. we are our own destiny.

of course, no. destiny is something that is predetermined. our destiny is never in our hands. it is much beyond. it is like one of your best friends at a crowded railway station. you can see him, you can see him wave and trying to speak something to you but you can not understand. in a very similar way, there is something destined for everyone but we are unaware what it is.. bye and take care.

I think that a lot of people lose their control to addictions and uncontrollable thoughts and feelings. I don't think we are always in control. There are lots of people simply born into situations that they have no control in and they have no way out. It is a gift when someone has control.

Many thanks for nicely responding.I do understand your view points. In fact, there are many factors and life forces,on which an individual has limited control.Given the environmental forces and situations influencing one's life, one can freely chose any option or courses of action(good or bad) available to him/he according to his free will and knowledge. The option he/she choses contributes to mould or influence his/her own destiny. The fruit/result of his/her actions is reflected in his/her destiny which may/may not suit his/her desire. One has only control over the coices of one's action ,but not on its fruits or outcome that determines one's own destiny. Have a nice day!!

Yes I strongly believe that a person is the master of his destiny. Its the choice--not chance that determines your destiny. It is in the moments of decision that a person's destiny is shaped. Destiny is not a matter of chance. It is the matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is the thing to be achieved. As said, "Dreams are like stars...you may never touch them, but if you follow them they would lead you to your destiny."

It's right, but when some thing have happened most of people would complain destiny,it's human nature. Some case prove that people can be master of his destiny, they got large success by his effort, theny don't complain anything, they know that the way to door of success just is himself,in this way they must depend himself. If we have patience,will,goal,method...when we have those conditions that we will be the nearset success, and will be master of destiny. What you think of life and what is your life.

i totally agree narayan. a person is allowed to live according to his wishes which may be good or bad. it all depends on his mind set. the resources given are the same to everyone. but it is the way how different people handle it. some use it in a good way while others either aren't aware of it or misuse it. life and destiny purely depends on an individual. thanks for sharing. happy mylotting

not for the person who lived in the past and were controlled by their masters, it's not. I mean the ones who are free and just acts on their own will, then yes, they are the master of his/her destiny, but what about the ones who are and were being constantly told what to do, would they be the master of their own destiny, too? I don't think so..
