What time do you have your last drink at night time?

Well I have a drink when I want one. The reason I'm asking is years ago a friend(we would both have been about 30 years old) popped in around 8pm,I asked her if she wanted a drink and she said no as she would be up all night weeing on the loo!! She wouldn't even have hot milk/ horlicks or anything. Even now if I want a drink before I go to bed I have a drink, if I have to get up in the night for a wee, well I get up, I'm not letting that stop me having a lovley drink before I go to bed. Nine times out of ten I don't need to get up and that is after four children, she had none then!! So what about you?

drink - have one
I can drink right before bed. I always come up stairs at night with a two waters and a class of lemonade. I don't usually end up drinking both of my waters but i drink my lemonade and a bottle and a half of one. I'll take my last sip as i'm laying in bed! lol I drink all i want but right before i ready to go to sleep.. i go to the bathroom and pee it all out. Rarely ever do i wake up in the middle of the night and need to go to bathroom but i always have to go come morning! lol

I have a drink when I want one too, I have had four kids and have no problems really getting up for the loo all night. Most nights I do not have to get up but just sometimes I will have to get up once so it is not too bad. I go to bed about 11 ish and I usually have my last drink just before then.

I dont have a problem with drinking before I go to bed. I usually drink a cup of coffee before I go to bed. Drinking coffee relaxes me.

Hi there Anne18 Well I try not to drink about an hour before I go to bed for the same reasons as your friend. Lately though I just have a drink and then if I get woken by one of my kids then I will pay a visit to the bathroom. I am so tired from being woken and catching up from the lack of sleep through the summer holidays that I don't seem to wake at all because I want to go to the toilet. By the time the alarm clock goes off though I am in need of that little visit.

I drink whatever whenever I want. It's not that difficult to get up and go wee. Now when I'm camping out in the wilderness, that's a different story. I stop drinking altogether around 8PM. Going to the bathroom is the worst part of camping, expecially in the middle of the night.

I always have water before I go to bed because I get dehydrated easily thanks to my medication. I have to drink a lot of water with my meds.

I do not pay attention to any set time because if I am going to get up it is usually caused by something else. It does not seem to match whether or not I have had anything to drink. In fact, hot cocoa seems to make me sleep sounder. Some other things do wake me up. It is funny. Hubby will get up, go to the bathroom, come back to bed, then I wake up and go, and never even know he went. It follows in kind of a thirty minute sequence. My best bet for staying asleep is to hope he stays asleep. Maybe I should limit his evening drinks.

It is just after 10pm now and I was just going to make myself some tea before going to bed. I will also make a toasted cheese sandwich to have with it as I find it difficult to go to bed with just a cup of tea in my stomach. If I just had tea on its own, I would definitely have to get up during the night, but it wouldn't be to use the bathroom - it would be because I would wake up feeling hungry.

Hi Anne, I always drink before going to bed, I do know if it's part of the routine or just a habit..LOL! So, Expectedly I will be up to pee, I also do not like to ignore my thirst just because I don't like to get up anytime I feel like urinating! LOL!

I drink diet coke right up until I go to bed which is probaly why I have to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I never sleep straight though anyways so might as well enjoy my diet coke up until I go to bed. I have seen some people who have to sleep with a glass of water beside their bed!

I have a bladder of steel, sometimes I take my water bottle to bed with me and sip it. But sometimes, if I drink a lot of water, I try to get myself to fall asleep before I start to have to go. If I fall asleep I won't wake up until morning, and I never wet the bed since I was tiny. Though sometimes I can't fall asleep in time so I have to go to the bathroom.

I usually have a glass of water just before I go to bed and keep a bottle of water beside the bed incase I wake up thirsty. I'm more likely to drink less if I'm driving further than about 30miles than if I'm going to bed.

I drink before I go to bed. If I have to wake up its fine... because I have to get up for work anyway. It usually wont wake me up until after I get my 8 hours of sleep... and I usually only get about 4... so all is well =]
