Is the rising cost of everything causing you stress?

I have been in stress lately over the cost of everything going up. If the cost of things keep going like they are we will be in huge trouble. We have tried everything we can think of. Now its to the point where we are stressed. We are taking each day one at a time. Today we survived it but tomorrow might be a different story. Are you feeling this too?

Definately. Not only is everything really expensive. To make things worse there are rumors of lay offs at my company. It is getting tougher and tougher, and we are also worried about getting three kids to college and saving for retirement. The state of affairs is quite scary.

Goodness, thedaddym...I can kinda relate. I have no confidence I'm going to be getting into college. My parents HAD set money aside for me but that's gone now just so I can finish high school. My parents don't even have retirement anymore either, and they're getting into their senior years. I hope your family manages to get by all of these new and tougher obstacles and you experience some prosperity through the future.

I had to pay my own way through college and we struggled. I ended up quitting so that my Hubby could finish. It was a lesson to me to set aside money for my kids. Life is hard enough when you are just starting it. We have our kids set aside a little bit of money here and there to help out.

My family has felt this since it started, actually. Because our financial situation fluctuates (and it's never really been that good), sometimes we're more stressed out than other times. I'm told that the only way to take life is one step at a time, so...I guess it's good so many are, but I hate to think that most people were forced to it. Survival. A constant struggle to live. I think that's a very good sumarization of many people's situations today.

One step at a time is the perfect advice here. It is all we can do. Do the best we can today and see what tomorrow has for us.

We are able to pay the bills but there is little left for anything else. I feel like I want to prepair for the future but there isnt money left to get there. I feel so out of control.

It makes me feel old. I remember sitting down with my Grandma and she would talk about the price of bread and how it is so much moe then it was before. Now I tell my kids how I was stressed when gas hit $.91 a gallon. What I would do if it hit that again.

The rising cost do stress me out . Because of the prices rising all the time we are finding it very hard to make ends meet and I am not sure how we are going to survive this winter . We don't make any extra money in fact we are bringing in less money for my husband doing the same work and yet the prices of everything around us have all gone up . I just got a call from my power company today asking when I was going to get them paid off . In the last two months we got a power bill for 600 dollars . Now if we managed to burn 600 dollars worth of power at this time of the year what is it going to be in the winter !! They are saying that by the new year groceries are supposed to go up 50% more then what we are paying now and our gas which is now at a dollar fifty a litre is supposed to hit three dollars a litre . Are they insane , where do they think we are all going to get this money ?? I heard one day on the news where someone from the government was saying that there is no one struggling to get by and this was the reason for the rising cost and in this day and age there was no reason that everyone shouldn't be able to get all of their bills paid as we have more resourses now then ever before . And that people were making more money then they ever did before . Well let me say this , we are not making more money now then we were last year or the year before like I said we are getting less and I don't know anyone who is making more money personally so where are these people they are talking about and where are these resourses that are supposed to help us out because I have not seen any of them ??

A $600 energy bill would put us under. I dont know how I would deal with that. I know we are making less then we were a year ago. We lost about $2 and hour and 5 hours or work. At least we are still employeed though. We were lucky. We are making our bills but just barely and they are trying to raise our energy rates a huge chunk. We will need to find the money somewhere but I dont know what to give up. We may be giving up out internet connection if things get much worse.

Yes, you are not the only one. I was just at the store last week with my mom and sister looking at how much things cost from bread to veggies. I used to make fun of those ladies and gents who use over 100 coupons st the grocery store but now I see that they were being smart about it and I am going to be just like them, saving 50 cents to dollar here and there adds up and actually can keep money in the pocket. Now I try to only get things on sale or clearance when it comes to books, clothes, food etc. If there is something I really want, video games, I wait for the prices to drop. I don't have $50 to be throwing around all willy-nilly.

I was a couponer before all of this, now I need the coupons to make it all meet. We keep a tight budget and I used to have fun making it all work out. It was a challenge to look for the deals and get all the things we need in our house with money left. Now I am stressing to get enough of what we need to survive and we are left with out a lot of things that make life comfortable. Soon we will run out of our overstock and then we will need to buy more or do without.

With the economy going down I am watching many of our friends lose their jobs. My Dad is concerned that he may lose his job soon. People are not buying the extra things in life and in turn people are losing their jobs. It is hitting all of us. We will all go mad together.

OMG! Yes everything keeps going up and we still get paid the same amount of money as we did before it went up. How can you raise the price of thing and peopl don't have the money to pay for it, I say if this keeps going on we might not be able to live.

Exactly. I cant see how we can make it if things continue the way they are. Its scary to me because there is no way to prepair for it and I feel like I am watching it come at me. I guess if it happens then we will all be in the same boat together and we can all help eachother.
