What do you think about the people starting 20+ discussions per day????

Hi vidhyavini, there are some people who can think of these many ideas.lol But you said you can see repeated discussions. If those discussions were started by the same person then you can report about them writing the same person started repeated discussion. Well i would not report about someone but these kinds of discussions must be reported.

Unless I'm mistaken, what we "earn" here couldn't even buy a cup of coffee.

It needs a lot of good thinking to start a discussion...and when starting 20+.... a lot more...I have seen discussions coming at a high speed...with not so interesting topics..If one can create 20+ good topics...I will appreciate...but found , normally they lack quality... I am poor at starting a discussion..hate repeated topics... so seldom start a discussion ..until I come across a good topic..In early days , I tried starting few discussion..but soon realized my mistake...and hope , those doing this now , will soon realize it... I have noticed a few discussions ,with not so good topic..getting more replies ...but we have to accept ,all those things , which we can't change... It is just like , a less talented singer...getting more popularity than one , who is much talented....

i think, as you mentioned, that it is just done for money. Anyone can come up with all kinds of things to start a discussion, but that many per day they are probably not quality topics, There are times that i will come up with 5, what i consider to be, quality discussion topics, but even then i won't usually post more than 2 in a day, just try to spread it out as i also have fun responding to discussions.

chanceless vidhya!! i would totally mad then!!!! start even a single post is mind breaking!! starting 20+ discussions.. you should be kidding!! but i do see people who do that!!! initially i did that!! posting atleast 15 discussions daily!! but after 5 days!! i ran out of discussions! i was totally blank!! so i started responding to discussion !! its really better than starting a discussion!! whenever some topic interests me i post it once in a while!

That's what they call a win-win situation. You can't deny that quality post earns more credit, but those that are not earns credit too, though not that much. There are also people who starts discussion all about money, of course, if one reads about good money making, why not try it right? That's just one thing. But there are some who are good thinkers, that's why they can make quality discussion. Mind you, its not just 20 that they can do, they just limit it for the next day's discussion.

i think they are just here to start numerous discussion. it is some fact that is there. People think they will earn more by starting discussions rather than responding. may be its the way to earn more.

I find it challenging to think of discussions to start. I reply to discussions and only start a discussion or a few discussions when I have something to say. I wonder how some members can think of twenty new discussions a day. Well done to them because they must have great ideas to be able to do that. I have a friend on My Lot and he rarely responds to a discussion of someone else's but he starts loads of new discussions of his own every day. His discussions are interesting and popular because he gets thirty responses every time and sometimes he gets about fifty. Yes, quality is what matters on My Lot not the number of posts. In the friend started section it looks like some friends have been on a roll bringing out a whole host of interesting questions. I wish you a happy time on My Lot.

I think they do not have much time for anything els to do. Or it is student who have the time and want to make som extra for their budget. Or mabe they just enjoy writing and find mylot the best place to be. For me, that is just it. Here you can write a lot, if you like the discussions. You can respond and give a lot out to others....mabee help some one in need. If you do make a desent living on it...that´s Ok. But this do not pay my bills, so I spend not more than I can....but I have got two payments and together that gave me a bit over $20.

Hi there vidhyavini! I do appreciate the fact that there are people who can start a lot of discussions at a given time. This means that there are many discussions to respond to. But then again, it's nice to see discussions that are new and unique. There are a lot of discussions here that are similar with each other. There are also those that start several discussions a day but most, if not all, are not of good quality.

I think they are great to have started 20 discussions in a day. The most discussions I have started in a day is about 10. If I find a repeat discussion, I don't respond to them anymore. Unless I have something new to offer to the discussion. Most of the repeat discussions don't receive a lot of response, unless they have a new angle about it. About how they come up with 20 ideas? I myself try to write my ideas down when they come to me and then start them when I face the computer. It is easier that way that trying to remember ideas or trying to come up with something impromptu. Have a nice day!

what to say?? i just have to exclaim on such people rather than blaming them...because,i cannot comment on this many discussion...its too hard!! and as you said,some people are literally "copying" older discussion and it irritates me like anything.. but keep in mind one thing vidhya(ah i have spelled correctly,lol),Quantity is more important than quality here in mylot...atleast for an single percent,quantity is more important...its based on my own experience here..just imagine...thousands of discussions are started here everyday and so the admin of this site CANNOT look at every response..it needs lots of time...even though he got time he cannot complete reading all the responses!!it needs lots of man power!! No one here can say i am focusing only on QUALITY and not on Money...i can swear most of the people are focusing more on the Money...what if mylot paid you $0.10 continuously even though you posted quality posts? I know what you mean. I've been trying to start at least 5 discussions in a day. But, I have a hard time coming up with ideas. I don't know how anyone can do 20 discussions. I think they are just trying to get money. But they probably won't get paid for all of them with they aren't quality discussions.

they might be able to post over 20 discussion each day but they won't earn much and it I'll end up having been a waste of energy if most of them aren't responded to. Unless mylot have change the rules again you only get paid for your discussions that get replies.

You see Vidhya, quality is lost if we go for quantity. On this, I shall say this much that one or two quality discussions per day is more worthy than many posted. The same thing even holds good for the case of posting of responses also! Thanks for this nice discussion!

Well, if they want to, let them. People on Mylot have different goals. While some are here just for fun, others are here for money. They want to earn a certain so much per day, and I guess it is ok for them. You can just turn off the notify for such people if you have them on your list. :) Cheers and happy mylotting

vidhyavini hi me too, I wrote five today which is a lot for me as I go for several days not writing any. But twenty in oneday, that would be hard for me to do and write quality ones, and i will not do one liners. they are not making money so forget that as one liners may make two cents but nothing fantastic. You must take some time to develope your discussion and make it easy to answer.I make over a dollar aday and sometimes closeto two.

Hi vidhya,Sometimes I dont even get one topic for discussion,but how do people get so many topics everyday.I do agree that quality discussions earn lot of responses,but I do sometimes see some silly discussions earning lot of responses.Thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

hi vidhya.. dont think that a person who is starting discussion continuously will repeat the topics.. even me too posted many discussions continuously.. the reason is that when i am going outside for some other work, though i am doing the work, i will think about the discussion topics, if i find any or got any idea of starting a discussion i will note it in my mobile and save the discussion topics in the draft.. soon after i reach the home and will start the discussions.. but i too aree that some people are doing like that, but not all
