Do you mean 406? That is weigh too high. I suggest you contact the doctor. Or better yet, take your child to the emergency room, PRONTO! I know with me, I will handle taking my child somewhere that can make him/her feel much better.

If I would be in your place friend and that the fever of the child reached that I high then for sure I go to the doctor for further checked up and if they were already giving me all the supplements of medicine that the doctor give me as the prescription then for sure I would be worry and most especially when the fever is come and forth back then I need to ask another Doctors prescription..

I don't know much about children, because I don't have any, but logically speaking, when a fever is that bad, i think it is a good idea to get the child out of bed, and take him/her straight to the doctor's office, so that the doctor can check out the fever, and tell you what you need to do to cure it. Medication may be needed, and the doctor can prescribe that too.

My child has had fevers that high. Anything over 104 F is a hospital visit. 40.6 is just over 105, so my kid would be in the hospital with IV fluids.

I will take them to the nearest hospital and take necessary precautions given by the doctor I will let them to sleep on the bed until fever gets normal and also concentrate on the special food should be given to the child.

My son had dengue last year and his temperature changed there was a time that it went up to 41. I picked him up and without changing my clothes ran out of the house and waived a taxi to bring him to the nearest hospital. Temperatures this high can be dangerous some doctors would say you're too paranoid but I don't care it's my sons life at hand. Being a parent no matter what time of day that is if it's your childs life you can do anything.

That is 105... if over 104 they would go to hospital so as not to reach any higher if not coming down! That is going to possible brain damage and major problems. I would be scared out of my mind!
