I can't go during office days because... well I have work! But I really really want to go to divisoria for an early Christmas shopping. When is the best time to go? Saturday? Sunday? Holiday? What time? before or after lunch? And in divisoria, can you suggest a specific place to concentrate on. I think I'd buy my girlfriends cute blouses. And I'm talking about buying them cheap - that's the whole point of going to divisoria right? Plus what price range should I be willing to pay for a nice blouse?

Trust me on this one! I've been living all my life in close areas of Divisoria. And i've seen the worst times in Divisoria; the massive peple, the noisy streets, and oh don't forget the snatchers and hold uppers! Ok here's the tip, the best time to go to Divisoria is definitely not the the christmas season! Starting from october-January is the craziest time of the year in Divisoria especially if you have a car. You'll be lucky enough to find a parking space that quickly at these period of time. And don't be deluded by the "sale" thing during the christmas season. Actually they put higher prices during these season because the sellers know many buyers will scramble to buy stuffs. So I think it is safe to say the best day to buy is between the months of February, July-September. And it is better to go on mondays to thursdays the best time is from 9am-11am and from 1:30-4:30. why? friday is the end of the weekdays and many are commuting to go to their home provinces especialy the office workers who don't work on saturdays. Saturdays and Sundays are weekends and these are the days when young people troll and shop for cheap stuffs. about a blouse you're asking. the price depends from each other but this I'm sure of when you ask for a blouse's price and the saleslady tells you it's Php250 it is more likely you can max the "tawad" up to about Php50 cheaper, I think you can buy it for php200 or sometimes at php180. And please take this seriously: don't wear expensive earrings! I've seen many women got their earlobes bleeding-torn because of snatchers and don't expect the mob will help you or even some of the police. So don't risk your security. And be aware of suspicious people who stick closely to your bags they are more likely to be snatchers. And never leave you shopping bags without away from your site many "bag lifters" are waiting for their prey. so happy shopping!

Wow thanks for your kind comment and oh I forgot! In Divisoria especially in 168 mall, most of the store owner are Chinese nationals, but don't underestimate their Tagalog prowess. Although they talk funny but they are the boss! So sometimes when a sales lady tells you the price is "Final", find the boss and try to talk to him/her sometimes you could have an extra discount or sometimes not. But many are complaining that they when they try to bargain they are being yelled at and therefore they feel uncomfortable on negotiating. But don't get intimidated by the yelling-loud speaking chinese merchants. Most of the time THEY ARE NOT ANGRY, they just talk that way. So be used to them. And if you want to park, It is better to park somewhere in Binondo because of the traffic issue in Divisoria. It is safer to park in Binondo even just somewhere in Binondo church, besides it is just a 10 minute walk to Divisoria (168, tutuban) because you could have parking problems and be jammed in the traffic if you're planning to park somewhere in 168. Recto and Divisoria is a high traffic area and it is the major roads the you will take to shop at 168 and tutuban. So have your own choice of convenience.

I would suggest weekdays are the best time for shopping in Divisoria.Less people are going on weekdays, and the prices of goods are low and you can demand discount when you purchase items.I've experience it yearly where i'm buying stuff for my business.Saturdays and Sundays are to crowded and you can't demand discount from them.I guess the best time is around eight in the morning.

My ate and my mom often go to divisoria because of our business,we have a tailoring business actually its a sportswear business and they often go there to buy materials. I think the best time to go there is weekdays around noon time. For those who live outside the Philipines, just so you know Divisoria is a place here where you can buy cheap and i really mean cheap..LOL! things, clothes and your home needs just about everything you can buy it in Divisoria. I suggest that little by little you start buying christmas gifts now because you know how many people there are in Divisoria when december comes. Happy mylotting!

The best time to go to Divisoria at any day is before 9am. If you go there after lunch, the streets will be too busy with people that you would lose interest in shopping. Also, I suggest you go there on a Saturday. Some stores, especially the wholesale ones are closed during Sundays. And since you're planning to buy lots, I suggest you buy in wholesale stores along Juan Luna. There are a line of stores there that sells wholesale. I was able to buy nice t-shirts for 65-85 pesos per piece and I was able to sell it to the bazaar at 125-150. If you're looking for nice blouses, there's a building that sells mostly garments at the end of Juan Luna street. This building is right across the street that leads to Divisoria Mall. Don't buy in Tutuban or 168 malls if you're really on a budget since they do not sell wholesale unlike in Juan Luna stores. A nice blouse along Juan Luna will cost between 85-120 at wholesale price. In Tutuban or 168, the same blouses would cost 150 per piece. Last tip, please don't go there after October. Even if it's still weeks away before Christmas, the streets will already be too busy because people are doing early Christmas shopping by October.

i go to divisoria on sundays. there are lesser people on sundays than saturdays. 168 mall is a nice place to shop and there are lesser people there before lunch and early afternoon. you can also visit the street in between 168 and tutuban mall. the blouses on the streets are cheaper than in the mall. if you're going there on a weekend, make sure it's not near payday though.

With Christmas still two months away, you can go on weekends, just not on a payday weekend. If you can go earlier in the day, better so you can be on your way around lunchtime when people start coming around. Of course, with prices rising, there may not be as many people shopping at this time. 168 is a good bet to shop -- bargain prices and more comfortable area.

Hi there oyenkai! I do go to divisoria once in a while to buy some stuffs I can sell for retail. Based on experience, the best time to go there is during weekdays particularly Tuesdays and Thursdays. It can get clogged up during Saturdays and Sundays. Also, do not go on pay days. With regards to the blouses you would like to buy, if you know how to haggle, I am sure that you will be able to get a good blouse at a good price. You just have to know how to haggle well.

If you want to avoid a heavy crowd of people as early as now you go shopping for your christmas gifts or items. My advice is you go there on a saturday, cause on a saturday its more less people than sunday. Sunday is a family day so people usually go there and have a shop during Sundays. This people mostly comes from quiapo area after they go the church they shop at divisoria.
