What is your favorite vampire book? I have several; my top ones would, however, probably be "Dracula" and "Guilty Pleasures."

Ah there are some many that i love. I have read the entire series of Anita Blake which Guilty Pleasures is the first of. Also read all the ones out on the Black Dagger Brotherhood. I have read most of the Dark series and so many others that i cant think of at the moment, but have to say that the Black Dagger Brotherhood series is at the moment my favorite.

I have read almost all of the Anita Blake books, but I like "Guilty Pleasures" the best. I haven't come across the Dark series before or the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I will have to track them down.

I love Laurell K. Hamilton, but I would have to say one of my favorites would have to be Anne Rice as far as authors. At the moment for favorite vampire book though I have to go with 'Lost Souls' by Poppy Z. Brite. I LOVE that book, but be forewarned that if you read it and fall in love with Zillah and Nothing, you will never see them again. Poppy has vowed that while she loved the characters, for some reason, she will never write about them again.

Other than the Twilight series and Salem's Lot (Stephen King classic) I can't say I have read a ton of vampire books. I have a list of authors to look up now from reading the previous posts, and will be checking them out in the future. I have heard really great things about Anne Rice, but have never taken the time to check her out for myself.

That is easy. "Interview with a Vampire". Anne RIce is one of my favorite authors. The movie was pretty good too.

I would have to say the very first book from Anne Rice's Interview with the vampire series. The interview with a vampire. It is so complete and so explanatory, the history, the thirst, the denial, the humanity, the beauty, the sufferage, it is all there it is undeniably a work of artistic fiction.
