Is Obama right for us?

I don't feel that he is. I have read and seen many different articles and news events that make me shudder to even think of him running our country. Did you know that he voted NO on declaring English as the official language of the US government in June of 2007? I found it shocking that he also was working with 2 well known terrorists, one of which was in the FBI's 10 most wanted at one time. http://exposeobama.com/obamaissues.html

kat, these types of sites aren't reputable sources of information, unless you really do want to stay misinformed. There were other decent and honorable members of the legislature who voted against that bill, that doesn't make any of them unamerican. I've seen you in discussions about wicca and I had the impression that you are a thinking person, not a sheep. Regardless of who you like or dislike or who you vote for, go to some of the legitimate sources of information and learn the truth instead of spreading crazy accusations.

Agreed. I would suggest that you listen to the debates before making up your mind.

A lot of this information was also stated in interviews via abc, cbs and other legitimate sources. I did do some searching into this but, this site actually gives the dates of when he did this voting. I am assuming that it is true when it is stated on many other sites. Thanks for the input but, I do not "spread crazy accusations". He is also against many things that to most of us would be "the right thing to do". There is also an article on one of the news sites that states his views on abortion and the right to keep the baby alive if it lives through the abortion. They state that he is against keeping these babies alive whether healthy or not. I can see some of his points as very well thought out but, yet others are not so good. Every candidate has skeletons in their closet. Kat

Can you put up some more info for the other sources? The stuff that I have read all pretty much says the same. What gets me is the underage abortions and not telling the parents about it. Is this true or is this the truth stretched by someone? I have 2 daughters and it would kill me not to know about something like this.

Kat, Contrary to what the two posters ahead of me are saying, not all sites that "bash" a candidate are lying! The site you have posted is very factual in the voting record of Obama and just because this is someone trying to use his/her site to discredit Obama doesn't make it any less true!

Does the site include why the bill was voted against by some or is that piece of information just left to ones imagination?

There are actually links to the actual interviews and news events posted on this site. That is why I feel that MOST if not all of what is said there is true. Thanks rodney! Kat

I am honestly not sure that either candidate is right for the job. However, I would check the information on this site carefully with Obama's voting record, and sites like snoops to see if there is really any truth in it. A lot of sites like this exist on both sides to smear the candidates and enrage the public. I would definitely want to be sure that it was truthful before I made an opinion on it.
