Highest rated discussion?

Sometimes I see that a particular discussion was the highest rated discussion on a particular day, in the newsfeed. My question is how do we know when that happens. Do you receive an email notification about it? Have you had any discussion that was the highest rated discussion in a particular day? What was the discussion about? I have never received one, but curious to know your experience.

Yes, there is a daily digest email notification about the best discussions on several different categories of myLot discussions. You will have to sign up for the digest if you don't receive one daily. I glance through it everyday to see if any of my discussions are included and to read the various discussions. I started a discussion about a man who cleaned his dentures in public in an eating area and that brought in many responses so it was listed in the digest. It's fun to see my name in the digest although I don't get in the digest very often.

Hi carolbee,
I have not signed up for the mylot digest. I simply don't have the time to read all th email notifications from myLOt. So I deleted that one from my list. Now I know how that can be useful to me. I may consider signing up for it again.
Yucks! Cleaning dentures in public. That's gross! No wonder you received so much responses. People are curious about what happened. If you, being one of the prolific writers here at myLot, do not get highest rated discussions, I don't think I ever will

Hi Sydney, No I have never even come close to receiving a
highest rated discussion. I can't even get one that has
been in the digest. In fact it kind of bothers me because
I see the same people sometimes getting into the digest
and getting the highest rated discussions. Please don't
get me wrong I will admit I AM JEALOUS! Some of those
very people are good friends of mine! And they definitely
do deserve it, but what about me???? I don't know how
mylot picks the discussions or why they pick the ones
that they pick or how they get highest ratings, obviously
because they get plenty of responses. I guess we will just
have to keep on trying!

Well, it does not bother me that much. I don't think I will subscribe to the mylot digest either. There's just too many emails I have to handle already. I think I will just continue to mylot and not bother whether my discussions get highest rated. For you, continue trying. If you see mine in the digest, can you inform me? Or would you be so jealous to congratulate me?

I myself saw it in the home page and here I go wondering, how is it the highest rated discussion. Is it based on the replies? Is it based on the rating giving by people, because people might reply without rating? Or is it the one that has the maximum discussions as in people can keep discussing in one thread instead of separate comments.
So it is actually not at all clear to me how this happens.

Hi Ram, Accouding to the name, it implies that people must have rated the discussion and it is the highest one in a particular day. I don't know if I have ever achieved that because there is no email notification about it.

I am reading today that some discussions are highest rate marked at my lot. Who rate it I am not aware. I know only about the toda's top discussions in which I have seen discussions I have posted recently. Where is highest rated discussions please let me know so that I may also see if I am there.

If you go to the home page, you will see the activities of your friends at mylot. Sometimes one of the activities listed that I see is about the highest rated discussion. So I'm just curious whether mine has been there and I did not know about it.

Hi Sweetie (couldn't resist!),
I probably have not had any highest rated discussion. But I' be sure to look out for that in the today's digest email notification in future. That's is how you know whether your discussion has been rated highest. Maybe one day yours or mine will be that. All teh best!
