I was born and raised in Texas, and lived there for 45 of my 48 years. 3 1/2 years ago I moved to PA, and when I speak to someone they still say 'you aren't from around here are you?' LOL I also learned they eat some weird stuff up here lol. The countryside is pretty up here with the mountains and changes of the seasons. There are a few times every now and then that I miss Texas, but for the most part I just miss my family that still live there. What part of Texas are you from?

Well we used to live in close proximity, keeping in mind it is Texas lol. I lived in Brady for a while, and lived in Cisco for a couple of years. I moved up here from Austin, was originally from Dalls, also lived in Corpus Christi for over 20 years.

My mother married at least two Texans, my natural father and a step-father - I suppose she just can't resist yaw'll's charms - My step-father was in the military though, so we visited his parents in Victoria, but not actually lived there until I attended college in 1976 in Nacogdoches. I'm amazed I can still spell that without looking it up. Spent a summer in Waco cutting down weeds in 1977 and that was enough for my taste ...

I was born and raised in Texas. I now reside in Alabama. I do intend to go visit when I am able. I have family there I haven't met and a dear friend I have known online for several years that I hope to meet. Would I live there again. Sorry, but too many people are coming in telling me how bad things have gotten. One example, children being kidnapped from thier own back yards. I imagine the country isn't as bad. But I have so many bad memories from there, the heat is too much for me, really, I will only visit.

I'm from Texas; born and reared there! Now, I am in northern california; beautiful country. I enjoy going from one side of the state to the other and experiencing the differences in the climate. I also enjoy seeing the mountains at times as well as the beach at times. Texas has some of this landscape as well; but not the heights of the beautiful mountains.
