Is it wrong to have misleading titles on discussions. Do you think its more attractive with misleading titles? Anything to get people to read your discussions lol Have you put misleading titles? I ahvent but i sometimes put catchy titles but even they still do not work lol.

it's a great way to get people into your discussions - as long as the topic REALLY is related to the title, that is - double entendres are a very good lead-in. i have gone to some that i would not have if the title had been less risque...it can be very humorous - or very serious is there a particular instance that is bothering you? or is it just something that seems to be happening a lot? maybe total fibs to get us there?

Manytimes is inadvertently happening. Some of the friends (including me) may don't know how to give a proper title for the discussion. You might have noticed that myLot have many members from Non-english speaking countries including me. We don't know the exact word for a particular subject. Sorry for that, but we are learning English from others. Happy myLotting.

I think if you answer a lot of discussions you may get people answering y our tdiscussions. I think that people lots of time answer pretty basic discussions. I think if you ahve a pretty basic discussion under a category most people have as an interest such as mylot you will have a number of responses probably anyway.

shamzy hi not really misleading but just catching your eye and interest but tying in to the main thread of my discussion so you will have to read all of my discussion or you will not be answering correctly. some of us have a habit of just reading the title and maybe the first few lines and that does a misjustice to the poster. he is going whattheF where did thatresponse come from, thats not what I was talking about. Please forget the misleading title thing and read allof my discussion as I read all of yours. I assure you I do not write more than is necessary to get my point accross but you must read all of my discussions.

I think the most effective title here is those which are straight to the point. I haven't done any catchy titles. I think when doing creative titles, it should be handled with a lot of care. Have a nice day!

It depends on the subject. Sometimes they may look deceiving when you first start reading, but the person starting the discussion works the title into the discussion some how. It could be just a clever play on words, or another way of saying what they want to say, and it gets your attention better. I have a hard enough time coming up with a simple title.*L*
