I have heard that before about cinnamon...and it's well worth a try! I really don't know any very valuable secrets that are connected with spices....I do know that oregano neutralizes the acid in tomatoes so when you cook with oregano it makes the sauce tasty and helps cut down on acid.

Wow that's a great tip. I will definitely use it. I actually made some rice the other day and made a little sauce of a tiny bit of butter, olive oil, roasted garlic and Cinnamon and Cayenne pepper and it was actually good, believe it or not. The Cinnamon alleviated the spicyness. And I had some Cinnamon toast and was reminded how yummy it is. I didn't even add sugar to the Cinnamon and it was still yummy. I want to start now trying to eat as if I'm diabetic so that I won't be in the future. I used to tell my wieght loss clients that age and heredity may influence you but don't have to determine you. I'm crossing my fingers my words are true!

Wow that seems a very good alternative to the table sugar which is not suitable for diabetic people. I wonder why there is less of that in my place. I seldom see Cinnamon being sold in our market.

And you've checked the spice section - that's so strange. Although in the West, we favour in sweet stuffs, Cinammon doesn't have to just be for french toast or sweet desserts its also good for cooking main dishes as well. Curries and meat dishes.
