If you are a member of the uniformed services, volunteer firefighter, or Peace Corps volunteer I have bad news for you. The final vote to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide earnings assistance and tax relief has gotten a flat NO.

H R 3997 is the bill number for the Bail Out. The IRC of 1986 thing was an amendment to it. The Representatives voting didn't vote for or against the IRC thing, they voted for or against H R 3997 itself.
