I had an excellent morning but this afternoon after I paid the gas bill and stopped at the grocery store, I lost my keys. I am sooo sure they fell out of my purse inside the store because I checked in the parking lot and didn't see anything. I have a lot of things on the keychains, not only 3 different keys but my tags for my gym, tags for 3 grocery stores and a CVS, and 2 keychains, one of which I have had for about 15 years. I'm going to miss the chain. I got really upset with my daughter because she was digging around in my purse to get her tshirt out to put under her head (she was lying in the cart). The keys probably fell out on the floor when she was doing that. The store employees tried to be helpful and said they'd hold them for me if they got turned in but I am almost sure I'll never see them again. I called a friend who came to pick me up and then I got my spare car key from home, back to my car, went and made another car key, picked up the house key from my son to make another house key.... now I am SO DANG TIRED. My poor daughter, I didn't take her to ballet either. Have you ever lost your keys? Were they ever found or were you basically SOL? Tomorrow morning I'll replace my gym keytags and then I'll replace my grocery store tags. I'm just glad my alarm thingy wasn't on it.

OMG that happened to me twice!! and i am the only person who had the mail box key and of course i was waiting for one of my checks from one of my sites!! lucky for me, the guy who cleans my building found them, unlucky for me, he forgot he found them and didn't give them to me until two weeks later. after i made a new set, which a lost the next day after he gave me my set he found. i am like you, i don't care about the keys, but all of my store tags and things i had to go and get them all over again

There are 400 million Toyotas in the parking lot and on the street, and nothing that states my address or anything that could trace the keys back to me, so I really had no fear that someone would get into my car or my home. I was really upset when it happened though, I had just bought some groceries and couldn't get them into the trunk or get home, it was past lunch time so my daughter and I were hungry, etc. The timing just couldn't be worse, and I wasn't at my normal grocery store either, if I was, I would have only been a mile from home.

That is so bad losing something that is dear to you. Well I have my keys always intact with me. I have never lost one so far but I guess it would be a pain if ever I lose those since all those are for my house and I won't feel secured anymore if I would lose them. There would always be in my mind that somebody has it and they could enter my house anytime. Hope you can find them soon.

Hi mommyboo. Sorry about your losing your keys. I know what a pain that can be. But, it could have been worse. You could have had your ID on it or you could have lost your ID and credit cards etc. That is my biggest fear. That I might lose that stuff. That is such a major hassle. I know that losing keys is no fun either. If I had lost my keys it would mean waiting for my boyfriend to get home at almost 10:00pm. He is the only person that has the key to the deadbolt. If I needed to get in sooner it would mean having a locksmith break the lock and then it would cost me over a hundred dollars to get a new tumbler. So I would have to stay at a neighbors until he got home. So even though it was a pain, it could have been worse. Maybe someone will turn them in. What good are your keys to a stranger?

I don't know ... my friend said someone may have kept them instead of turning them in because I have gym keytags. I reported the loss to the gym today though and they replaced my tag. They know me, if some 350 lb hairy guy named Jimbo comes in with his wife Bertha and they try to scan the tags, the employees will confiscate them for me I had my wallet stolen before (it had almost 900 in cash in it, yes I know that was stupid stupid stupid) but what was worse is that when I tried to get my SS card REPLACED, they treated me as if I was applying for one. It took me MONTHS to get it replaced because they wouldn't listen to me. It was like I had to prove I had a birth cert, citizenship status, and a work history! I was 21, it was really frustrating. I did call my husband while I was waiting for my friend but I got his voicemail. By the time he called me back, she was already there. He works pretty far away (over an hour) which is why I did not call him first.

Sorry to hear that, that was very unfortunate for you, and your daughter, anyway haven't experienced losing a key but I had experienced losing my wallet a lot of time with some important receipts and id's so i definitely know how you feel.

My wallet was stolen once.... and talk about awful. Not only did I have a license, SS card, credit cards, bank card, various receipts, but also photos, ins card, and a ton of cash - I had been planning to pay rent and car payment that morning!
