Okay after a nice long walk with my wife Sunday afternoon we came home to eat and do some yard work. This included raking the front yard an mowing the grass. We added the leaves to my copmpost bin. Now this afternoon as I went to get my garbage can from the curb this was the scene greeted me. Yes, more leaves fallen from my trees. It is a never ending battle till the ground freezes with my tree loined street I live on. But I love it noe the less. I use the leaves as mulch for m,y lilies and other flowers out front. I also use them for my compost bin. Do you find leaf raking a never ending battle as well? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hi GRANDPA BOB, They do look pretty, like colourful stars or flowers, yes the more you rake them the more they fall, we have lots of yellow brown and green leaves all over our drive. Tamara

Thanks bunches. The winds really blew them all over the place. My rain gutters which I cleaned Sunday are once again full of them as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I don't have to rake. My neighbor takes care of all of my raking and other lawn needs. I remember the days though! LOL

I'd love someone else to rake my yard. I do have the grandsons who love doing it though. But then they get tossed right back anyhow with them playing. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

What leaves we have are just mowed over and not raked up. If we had a bunch of trees then we would have to rake them up I'm sure.

I'd have to mow every day to do that as the leaves here fall so quickly. Plus there are so many trees in my neighborhood. Sometimes when there aren't a lot mof leaves on the lawn I will just mow them over. Too many leaves and the mower stalls out from too much to cut at one time. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Yes, I know what you mean, we have so many trees, that I am always raking or cutting them up with the mower until like you said, until winter hits..I love the trees and privacy, but would rather have more pine, no leaves to pick up and privacy year round..

I'm very fortunate! I don't rake leaves, the ones that fall into my yard just get mowed over. We have beautiful trees all up and down my street, old maples, elms and hickory trees but my house is second from the corner and I have only 3 flowering pear trees. I'm not really close enough to the others to have a lot of leaves in my yard or gutters but I get to enjoy their beauty!

What beautiful colors. I love the different colored leaves when they are on the tree, i like them a little less when i am trying to keep them raked up.Of course if they are in someone elses yard i still think they are beautiful. LOL

Its weird how your trees are losing their leaves, the trees here are still green, theres hardly any leaves falling yet..lol. I don't like leaf raking either, fortunately we don't have very many trees in our yard, so I don't ever worry about raking them up.
