You know how sometimes you'll hear a story on the news or read it in some magazine about how this person did this or that and you think to yourself "Pfff!! If it had been me, I would have..." So what about being president? Do you think you would make a good president for the USA? Why or why not? Why should we vote for you? ;)

I don't think I would be a good president. The president has to make horribly hard decisions, whether or not to invade a country, and is always under scrutiny. I don't like president Bush, but I do respect him because even though I don't agree with almost anything that he did, he thought and still thinks its the right thing to do, and he doesn't care how people see him, and I think that commands respect.

Sure. For one thing I wouldn't have been corrupted by my wealth. Also since we have a world economy we need world economic laws ( like minimum wage for all countries )& a world currency. I'd recommend the Gallon. 1 Gallon = 1 Gallon of gas Since gas prices inflate at about or greater than regular inflation the Gallon would always maintain it's value. Gas companies wouldn't then be able to screw around with us at the pump since one Gallon is always = to 1 gallon of gas. For them to increase profits they would have to produce more gas more efficiently. This would also stop the trickle out effect we've seen lately when the price of everything increased because shipping costs went up. With there being no real difference in wages worldwide it would then make more sense for companies to make products closer to their consumers. Thus saving them Gallons on shipping costs & keeping more jobs in country.

Why would anyone want that job? There has to be a lust for power that most of us could never understand! The stresses are greater than most sane people would care to accept for any reason. Just look at photos of each president entering and leaving office, and you can see the way the stress is wearing away on them. I don't know anyone who's so sold on him or herself that they think their ideas are better than anyone else's, and that they should be in charge of everything! I'm proud to be a citizen of a country that seems ready to try to repair the damage done over the last several years, but I don't want the burden on me!

I think I would make a terrible president. It isn't that I wouldn't try to do my best but I would have a real problem trying to look through all the possible solutions and then pick one and move the whole country in that direction. On the other hand, I was a infantry commander in the military in Vietnam although I wasn't a POW. Further, I can field dress a deer. Hmmmmm maybe I would make a good president.
