Is the telephone ringing?

Do you ever hear your telephone ringing, but it really didn't ring? This happens to me often, when I am sleep, I think the telephone is ringing, but when I get up it wasn't really ringing. I have a light on my phone to indicate that I had a call, and when I look the light is not on. Does this happen to you?

it happens for me as i am getting many calls in a day so even if calls are not coming because of the used ringtones i used to keep hearing the same tunes in my ears as well so to avoid the unnecessary mind sets i change my tune once in 15 days as well

I normally think I hear the phone ringing when I am in the shower or out in the garage. I can never be sure if it is ringing or not. I don't normally run to check either though. Since I do not have caller id, unless they leave a message I will never know.

ya some times when we tense for any thing this can be happen some times i m waiting for call from some one than i hear telephone ring in sleep mode and when i wake up their is no call. so this all done bez of our mind wch cnt be stop :)

Yes, this has happens to me more than one time, not only with the phone, but sometimes I think I hear the door bell ringing also. I sleep with my TV on so it probably is something that is on tv because when or if I get up there is no one there.
