Would you rather wear uniform or casual outfit when going to school or work?

Most of the institution or colleges we have attended during elementary, high school and college, they require us to strictly obey the rules and policies which they have provided. And that's not limited to school, because even when we we're working in a company, there's still rules and policies which we have to obey. And one of the rules is wearing proper uniforms and Id's. How do you feel about these kinds of rules? are you the one who enjoy obeying rules or you're just obeying because you have no choice but actually get bored with it? Would you rather wear just casual outfit or proper uniform required by the school or company? and why?

I like the way you explained it, that uniforms remind you that you are all equals and a part of the same team. It's really a good way to look at uniforms. :)

Uniforms make sense because you never have to worry about what to wear each day, no one is trying to show off their designer duds and make others, who cannot afford them to feel bad. It keeps the focus on work/school and not on each other's style. It keeps those who dress badly or in a distracting way from taking the focus off of work and it saves money. I went to schools for 12 years with uniforms. I had three uniform skirts and 5 blouses. My parents did not have to buy me school clothes and they had a place where you could bring your uniforms to be resold so others could pay less or we would pass them onto someone younger than us. Being bored with clothes is not the focus in work and school and if you are busy doing the work, then it is not an issue. Many jobs have uniforms, doctors, nurses, military, etc.

There are benefits to both. If you have a uniform you have to wear, you never have to worry about what you're going to wear, but wearing the same thing every day would get very boring.

I like wearing uniform for it is an identity also were you work or from what shool you belong. Since i am working, uniform is the best way to save from buying clothes, because if you keep on using the same clothes over again, it becomes uniform too., Now a day we should be more practical in spending our hard earn income.

There are pros and cons for me with regards to wearing uniforms or casual outfits. Here they are: Wearing Uniforms PRO: 1. Everyone would look clean and neat. 2. Regardless where you go people would always know where you're from, so in case you're lost, they would have respect because of what school you're in. Most especially if it's a private school or corporation. 3. You would have no problems choosing which clothes to wear that day, no problems in terms of fashion and lesser fear of wearing the same thing. Wearing Uniforms CON: 1. It's expensive. 2. You don't have any say on how the uniforms look. So even if you think you don't look good in it, you have no choice. 3. There's no hiding which school or office you go, so if you want to do something naughty, you're sure to ring the bells of the school or workplace you're in. Casual Outfit PRO: 1. You can do your own fashion. 2. You have the right to choose what to wear thus making it a little more comfortable. 3. You can look unique than most. Casual Outfit CON: 1. Constant pressure of making sure you don't wear the same thing often. 2. Quite expensive because you need to buy wardrobe otherwise you'd be wearing the same thing all the time. 3. Looks untidy at times. So there you go. My pros and cons on uniforms and casual outfit. But for me, if I have to choose, I'd rather go for the uniform. Why? Well, I am the type of person who always keeps track of what I wear for fear that people might sooner or later tell me that I wear the same thing every week. I don't like the attention when it's that type of attention. When in uniform, regardless what day, you're sure to avoid that problem. Similarly, yes it could be quite expensive but at least you can wear it for longer periods and could make you look neat. As for design, you can always suggest or talk to the designers or admin. if in case you have problems with the uniform, I'm sure they'd want it to be comfortable to the workers or students wearing them too.

Having uniform is fine with me since this means I can save a whole lot of money for clothes since I have uniform for Monday to Thursday. Friday is a wash day for us meaning we can wear whatever outfit we want and this is like a fashion day for my other colleagues and I am just amazed on how they spend so much time fixing their self. They even buy expensive clothes to be wear on Friday! I am not much of a fashionista, a simple jean and shirt works for me as long as I am comfortable wearing them and comfortability really matters a lot to me.

Hi, when I am working I would like to go to work in a casual outfit provided that still it is decent. IMO I would work better wearing that outfit rather than wearing a uniform since I am comfortable and will surely be more efficient in working. Maybe I have that mindset because since high school my schools have never been that strict on uniforms, well in high school I've got 2 years of having uniforms. But in College I don't have uniforms. So there, I would like to work in my casual clothes. lol.

I think it should be our own choice in what we wear to work.I also believe there should be rules placed as well. The company should not allow any seductive clothing,no belly tops,no ripped clothing or stained clothing. The company could post a list of unexceptable clothing and leave the rest up to the individual. happy mylotting

For primary or secondary, I agree to wear the school uniform. As the students were quite young, standard uniform serve as a basic discipline for the young, small students to follow. When comes to university and corporate world, I would prefer casual wear. Adults should be given more freedom to choose what they like to wear and how they would like to be seen by the other as long as they are neat and clean. It might trigger their creativity too. :)

Uniform, of course. First of all, its makes the whole team at work feel one. So also at all educational institutions. Sometimes airs start among the rich, and complexes among the poor. This can be avoided when there's a uniform to be worn.

I don't think I would like to have to wear a unifrom, I would hate to be dressed the same as everyone else. I don't mind getting dressed up i do it everyday but I liek to have the freedom to choose what colors and styles I wear so I can set myself apart from others. I hat to wear a unifrom when I was in school the coat and tie kind and it was kind of a drag getting dressed everyday knowing that 400 other people would be wearing the same thing I was.

when I was in my School days I do wear uniforms in which it is more helpful for my Mother to take care about the clothes I need to wear only and it is only Wednesday is our washed day that I cannot wear them and now that I am working I still do wear those uniforms from the company and I find myself that I do not have any choice at all but here in Kuwait I am so glad that I am not wearing any uniform at all but I am not wearing casual at all for i always wear those clothes that are formal with coat and tie most of the time.

I dont like wearing uniforms coz I feel and I know I look lousy wearing uniforms. And it makes me feel comfortable, it makes me me, when I am on civilian clothes. Plus the fact that I can express my sense of fashion and individuality when Im on casual clothes. When it comes with wearing IDs, i dislike that idea. I just dont know why.
