I miss eating that, it was SO good! I used to take care of a Dr who was of Iranian descent, and his wife would make lavash every now and again. She gave me the recipe for it, but that was many, many years ago and I cannot find it anywhere. Does anybody here know how to make it and could possibly share a recipe for it? I'd also appreciate other tips on making it, and other things that would taste good along with it.

I don't have the slightest idea what that is. I did want to stop by and say hi though. I hope you get your recipe, somebody here is bound to have some ideas for you. Is it a meat dish, vegie or a desert? Good luck.

Hi!! Glad you're back safe and sound! I'm not sure if it's classified as a bread, dessert bread, or pastry. It's really flaky and I think it's absolutely delicious. We'd always have it after a meal, or for a snack. Doc loved it too, so we were both always real happy when she'd make it and leave it for us lol. Although it's been many years, something today reminded me of them, and then I got to thinking about the lavash. Hunted for the recipe but I haven't a clue where it went lol. I figured sine we have so many international members here somebody would have at least heard of it for sure! Can you tell...I'm in a baking mood this week (anything to turn on the oven and warm up this old house hahaha)

Oooo a flaky pastry does sound good. I hope somebody gives you the recipe, I will have to keep an eye on this post. I have been wanting to turn my oven on too, its been getting nippy out. I have been thinking about making cookies. Great minds think alike, hehe. Its nice to be home. I am safe but the sound part is debatable, hehe.

Thank you SO much for finding those recipes! Not sure which one is closer to the one she gave me, so I'll just have to try them both (and eat them both lol!!) Yum hehehehe

Excuse my ignorance but may I ask what is Lavash? I have absolutely no idea of what this is or how it's cooked. Please tell.

Thanks for finding a recipe for it grandmaof2! Now I have 3 different versions to try :-) I don't know what it's classified as, I'd have to call it a dessert bread or a snack bread.

Hi! Good to see you today! Vicky sent me a couple of different recipes for it. It's kind of like a dessert bread (or at least that's how I eat it lol) I just love this stuff. Surprised to see you here this time of day....I figured you'd be at one of your jobs. Thanks for your response here, now I've got at least 3 recipes to try.

Hello Joy. I don't know what lavash is but you make it sound so good. I hope the recipe that Grandmaof2 is the one your looking for. It looks like a lot of work. But good things are. Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
