I love composition notebooks for journal and writing in general. I have noticed that before each school year there will be a lot more designs and styles and bought a small collection this time around. I even got two hello kitty composition notebooks. I have started a journal of positive affirmations and I will start a journal with my thoughts, so I was wondering besides me who also loves composition notebooks? And if you don't what kind of notebooks do you like? Or you prefer the fancy journal book?

When I used to write such things as journals and whatever, I used notebooks. I got a lot of them from where I worked at the end of every semester so they didn't cost me anything Now days, I don't write things down on paper usually. Not with nosy eyes in the house

I see, blame other people for not putting your thoughts on paper

I used to write in journals but I have had two different people in my life take my journals and read them. This didn't turn out so well because there were things in these journals that were personal and private. Things that these people should never have read and it caused a lot of problems. I cannot believe that my privacy was breached by these two individuals and vowed after the second time that I would not write in a journal again. I would love to write in a journal but I am afraid that it will be read by the wrong person some day and be totally misinterpreted yet again.

Well there are other ways to keep a journal, one is too keep it under key and lock, and another there are other forms of journaling that will make sense to you only. There is artistic journaling (I have one of them and have kept the same journal for a couple of years now) It is filled with drawings and sketches, things and sayings that make sense to me alone and anyone who happens to see them can not get info from the only what I like to draw, you do not have to be artistic abnut that. And another one is keep a journal online, there are a lot of them that are free and can be kept private.

I love journals. I was in the pharmacy just the other day and saw a new journal in there. I was tempted to buy it but we're on a tight budget right now and I had no idea what it cost as there was no price on it. I usually go to the dollar store. I love putting pen to paper and have been keeping a journal for 30 years or so. I have a plastic storage container that is full of my journals (I need a new one). I keep a general journal, a prayer journal and a gratitude journal. I also keep journals for my girls on the funny things they say and do, special events in their life, etc. It is for them when they are older. I wish I had started earlier though. I also kept a special journal the week my father passed away. I almost filled it! I just love to write. I have spiral notebooks as well, usually for notes or rough drafts of stories and articles. I can't write directly onto the computer. I prefer handwriting.

I am not sure how I miss your response but I am reading it now and I am glad I did,. It is a great idea to keep a gratitude and prayer journal. I am keeping one of positive affirmations but I will try the prayers and gratituded one. I wish I had written a journal for my daughter, she is 17 now, I am afraid kinda late now. Anyways, thanks for your comment to me.

I use composition books when I'm going to keep hand written journals. Which I don't do much as I don't physically write much. Typing is much easier for me because of my disability. However, I try to buy a pretty composition book as opposed to just a plain white and black one, which is more typical of a standard notebook.

The composition books are awesome for journals and a great way to keep them organized and in chronological order, too. I write in those and my friends and family are always giving me journals and notebooks to use as well. So, I use a wide variety of journals for my journaling. Nice Hello Kitty comp book!

I use composition notebooks myself, even until now. I use them to come up with lyrics, to write notes about an idea for a story, and for doodling. I used to maintain a journal myself also using composition notebooks.

Composition books are definitely a classic for journal. Ever since I was a kid, I have bought Mead black-and-white composition notebooks and used them as journals, sketchpads, doodle-notebooks... basically any book that you could use to write in, I had a Mead composition book. Now, however, I have started to like using Moleskine notebooks, since they are smaller and don't have a hard back. It's all preference, but both choices are great!
