Skin Heads busted for plotting to kill Obama plus other black Americans

I just saw a clip on the news that in Tennessee white supremacist skin heads got busted for plotting to assassinate obama plus kill many other black Americans-I think that's crazy & ridiculous. Stupid actions like that just make it look like white Americans (especially down south-which bugs the hell out of me) are just racist & against any black man becoming president.This story really pisses me off i hope they go to prison for a very long time to serve as examples for any others who are having those thoughts. it's 2008/2009 there's no reason why any qualified American individual man,woman,black,white,asian,latino etc..shouldn't be able to run for the Presidency.

I heard it too and they say they stopped a plot but didnt know if they had any thing to do it with.
Whic they might have I dont know.
Also when i heard it I thought My thought were of teh KKK which is still very strong inthe south.

nope ya never know who they are you might even live next door to one!
Down there you are probably surrounded bythem and dont know it.
A member of it bought the house where my brother in law had built after we all moved to town way out of town it is.
and the only way I kno this as my son run around with his son.
Also found out years later after we moved away from Pulaski Tenn . that my hubby was asked to join! When He found out what he was surpose to do he turned it down!

Lakota 12, I so agree with you. I live in the south and I was appalled to hear that one of the groups who call themselves "White American Supremicists" are right here in Kentucky. Not in the same county as I live in, but still in my state.
I was so upset and ashamed to hear that news. Having lived in Kentucky for most of my life, I love this state and I get so pissed off when people want to put southerners down. Whether it's about us being stupid, inbred hillbillies or racist. I hate it.
I know that this is America and everyone has a right to their opinions, however, when they breed hate, hostility and intolerance for anyone who is not the same skin color or whatever and have the nerve to call themselves a "social club" I just want to drop kick all their A***** out of Kentucky.
You were right when you said people didn't know how close these people were.

Well the fact that you said a QUALIFIED American rules Obama out...No military experience, very little political experience...doesn't sound like he is very qualified to me.

I'm sorry but your answer makes me think of the man they intereviewed last night about this attack. Every time the reporter tried to ask him a simple question, he either got mad or changed the subject.
Meme was talking about the white supremicists talking about killing Obama because he's black, not because in your opinion he is not qualified. Doesn't it bother you that people are talking about killing a man, taking him away from his wife and children just because he wants to be President and happens to be black?
That's the topic of this discussion, not whether Obama is qualified or not.

wow goldeneye you are informed & very articulate-I hope he does turn out to be the best President we ever had too- if he wins. xandercordy1 I hope everyone can see a point in your response here but I don't think goldeneye was trying to seem racist I think simply stating that he doesn't feel o is qualified is all. Let me say here that I'm not a registered voter so I can't complain no matter who wins but I wouldn't want either of them to get killed b/c of their race & btw for all who seem to forget o is mixed.
I've read alot of articles about that church in illinois & I beleive anyone who is a memeber there is a racist

yeah i heard this too. i found it funny that they FBI (think it was them) said they seriously doubted the men would even be able to get anywhere near Obama, much less actually pull it off. the tone of voice they used was very much scoffing lol!
they also said that there was a specific number of ppl that they wanted to kill..it was like 103 or something like that, and they said that it was a significant number in their "group". but they never did say WHY it was significant.
do you have any idea?

It makes me feel bad too-I remember when I was very young (I grew up down south & my parents were raised in the old south) I used to think to myself "everyone should have to marry someone from another race (back when I believed first comes loves,then comes marriage,then ... baby carrage-you remember that rhyme) that way there would be no racism b/c you can't hate yourself or ppl like you" but apparently not even that stops ppl

ABC news did a thorough investigation of this story last night. It was on around 12 o'clock or so. A reporter talked to the son of the Imperial Wizard. This group was from Blanchard County, Kentucky I believe they said. I have lived in Kentucky for most of my life but don't know where that is.
They said last night it was the 2nd threat against Obama since he started running for President. I believe the total of people these two men wanted to kill was like 150 blacks but I didn't catch why that amount. I think it was just to prove a point. The son of the IW here in Kentucky denounced them, saying they didn't know these guys and that their chapter was more like a "social club". However, there are pictures on the internet which they showed on television last night that show one of the men with this particular group.
Every time the reporter tried to ask the man a question that really showed what kind of people these men are, the boy would walk away yelling and screaming that when the reporter had something serious to talk about let him know. Like planning to kill a man and take a husband and father away from their family just because he wants to be President is not serious? How stupid are these people?
The boy also proudly displayed his knuckles which had "Hate" tattooed on them but yet he said they weren't about hate and that he didn't hate anyone. I, like you, hope they go to jail for a long time and I hope that the Secret Service can protect Obama and his family.
