Multi-colored leaves...

The leaves are falling! The ground is turning orange.. Had to run errands yesterday and the trees were so pretty! I think my favorite are the blaze orange maples with patches of green (usually around the inside and bottom). So pretty! Do you live near autumn colors??

In my neighbor hood the leaves are just getting a good start at changing colors. there are a lot of the reds and yellows and rust colors so far. The leaves are still clinging to the trees so far. They are so pretty. a friend of mine went to the mountians to see the leaves changing colors this last week end but I don't think the mountians will hold a candle to what is going on here at home.

I've been living in a warm orange world.. but alas today the trees are getting rather bare and it is chilly and raining.. I love the fall colors every where they are.. And in northern Wisconsin the colors to me seem as good as the Vermont mountains!

What part of Wisconsin do you live in? My grandmother came to Nebraska from around Madison many many years ago. She always missed the trees and the fall colors. She always wanted to take me out ther where she grew up.

..about half of our leaves in our yard have fallen and now they are all orange.. both in the trees and on the ground. It's very pretty. I wouldn't mind a bit longer spring, summer and fall, however, and less winter!

My mom and grandma have always been entranced by the changing colors of the leaves. To my dad and grandpa they are just dying leaves. But they are so pretty. Across the street from my parent's house, there is a tree in a neighbor's back yard that is clearly visible from my parent's house. The leaves have turned a deep red shade, and when the sun starts to set it is completely inspiring. I wish I had the talen to paint, because the view in that moment is prettier than anything man could make.

It's beautiful where I live right now. The leaves are so colorful and just starting to fall. I have lots of trees in my yard so we have tons of leaves to rake already. Last year was our first year living in this house and I thought it would be fun to rake leaves. All it took was me being out there raking leaves for 2 hours straight, getting blisters on my hands to see I hadn't even made a dent in the leaves to get a leaf blower. This year I'm going to put my 3 year old daughter in the massive pile of leaves to take a picture so people can see just how many leaves we have.

I know just what you mean.. I used to wait til a strong wind going the right way came up and I would run outside and rake leaves off into the fields.. and we get trillions of them! I even think of it when we are enjoying their shade all summer long... But since I have improved the grass' growth under the trees, I now mow them!!

Yes I do. We have loads of trees in our neighborhood. Not to mention the front and back yard. Red, gold, orange, shades of brown. Really gives you the feeling that the holidays are around the corner. They were also helpful in decorating my daughters kindergarten homework. I love driving around to see the different colors.

Yes! It's so pretty! But now ours are all on the ground and what we are looking forward to (not!) is raking them all! Hopefully I'll be able to mow them!
