Yes I have started my christmas shopping, I started it quite a while ago actually so I have not got much more to get. Just all the annoying little bits really. I think over the years the perception of christmas has changed a lot, I mean my hubbys family this year are going abroad for christmas so we will not see any of them. We will probably just spend some time at home with our kids and then see my parents at some point.

Christmas really is spent with the entire extended family on my father's side. We do exchange gifts and eat, thats usually lunch since my GrandMa isnt strong enough to stay up late anymore. Im not really the one shopping for the gifts but I do get a hand in what to give a relative or a cousin. I dont really give Christmas presents to friends anymore. Kinda stopped when I started college. Just dont have the budget. I do make up for it on their birthdays though.

I know it is amazing that it is only like a month until Christmas and I am sure there are a lot of people who are out doing Christmas shopping especially people who have a lot of people to buy for,and I can not wait until we put up our tree and Christmas decorations because everyone is always in a better mood at Christmas time and my mother usually does her Christmas shopping early, and this year she was going to skip Christmas because she is having a bunch of teeth pulled in early December so she is not going to feel good, but she decided we will still get together Christmas Eve to eat,but we will not exchange gifts this year, and anyone who shows up with Christmas gifts will not get into the house, since both my mothers and my fathers side of the family will come to my parents house this year.

Hello, geminipunk! How are you these days? Yes, for us here in my country it is the most important family holiday. all the family members get together and celebrate Christmas together. we do have the longest Christmas celebration so far, we start from December 16 until the first Sunday of January. Usually, by the end of October or as early as September you will begin to see shops and business establishments adorned with Christmas decorations and yes, some have begun doing their Christmas shopping to avoid the holiday rush. But i do celebrate Christmas with a tree and everything that adds joy to the season.Take care my friend.

Hi ya geminipunk Yes you are definately right of course! Well I have nearly done all my Christmas shopping as I want to have a stress free time with my kids during the lead up to the festive time as there will be lots to do and I want to spend that time with my kids enjoying it not dragging them around the shops getting stressed.

I love Christmas. I haven't done any of my shopping for it yet. I have to wait until my funds arrive to do so.

In my family Christmas isn't about presents. We get each other inexpensive things and put a lot of thought into them, the presents we give are about loving that person and celebrating the birth of Jesus. I have a tree and go to church, etc. I'm excited about Christmas, too, because I get to see my sons! They live in Arizona, 1900 miles away. It's hard to only see them just once a year.

I haven't actually purchased any Christmas gifts yet, but I've started making lists and coming up with ideas about gifts to buy for my friends and family. My birthday is the 17th of this month, and I don't usually start getting serious about Christmas shopping or thinking about Christmas much until after my birthday!

I agree family and faith are what Christmas is about. We do decorate the house some and give to each what we can, but the important part is that we get together.
