When did you know?

What was your first clue that you were falling for your spouse/SO? My husband and I were "just friends" for two years before we began dating. I had no interest in him at the time, although he did have interest in me, he was content being a friend. I was with someone else when we first met, but finally broke it off after a year and a half. After that relationship I was spending a lot more time with hubby.. but still didn't want a relatioship. He used to come visit me at work a lot, and one day I began to realize I was getting excited every time I saw him. I didn't really think much of it yet though, until the day I was walking through the store and thought I caught a whiff of his cologne. I stopped dead in my tracks to breathe in the scent, and smiled to myself before I finally caught what I was doing and told myself to stop it. The rest is history.

I was seeing someone else when I meet him, we were 14 and 16 and truthfully I couldnt stand him!! LOL! He got my number and called and then had his cousin call and I finally talked to him but for me I just wanted him to get away.. LOL! He wore me down so to speak, we started hanging around together and it just was. Never asked me out we just were a couple that easy. Weird I know! I knew that he was the one when all 98 pounds of him at that time, would stick up for me no matter who or what was going on! lol I also knew he would be there for me no matter what happened in our lives and he has been. We got married when he was 16 and I was 18 and it has been 24 years of marriage with its trials and good times and we just got remarried this last April and finally got our honeymoon. This was all made more special as we got married with our best friends and went on the honeymoon together. Seperate rooms of course! LOL

I guess the first time I met him I felt it, he was gorgeous. I met up with him again a couple of months later and still felt the same, we were both single at this point and so we went on a couple of dates and it was a blast. We used to spend hours on the phone when he went home and in the end he just never went home and that was it. Our relationship developed very fast, now thinking back on it I would say we moved too fast but we are still together 9 years on and even though we have had bad times we still have lots going for us.

I've often thought ours moved too fast as well. I was still living with my real mother at the time, and things at home were bad and stressful. I was so desperate to get out of her house, but knew I could not afford to do it on my own. So about 2 months after we finally began dating, I moved in with him. It wasn't even a year later that we became pregnant for the twins. We had a lot of problems because of this. In a way I regret never attempting to support myself. And I know that it was a difficult adjustment for him going from being a single guy, to suddenly having me and my son, then before you know it 2 more kids were added in. We had a lot of stress during those few years, and had a lot of struggles which we're still trying to work through. But we've been together 7 years, married for 5, and we're still pretty happy with our lives and each other. Some days I feel like I'm falling in love with him all over again.

I think I knew that my man was the one when we stayed up all night talking. He had no chairs so we were sitting on the bare floor, but it didn't matter.

well for me it was different, it was me who had the first interest on him. we belong tot ha same organization but he was way older than me, but he looks so smart and he had this aura that was so sure of himself but his eyes shows differently, I was curious with him and eventually I was caught with his charm. And then I knew I already like him and intend to do everything to make him want me too.. good thing he did and now we have three kids and been together for 8 years

Boyfriend was my least favorite manager when I first starting working at my former job. He always had something else for me to do and I felt singled out. And six months later, I also became a manager (but still below him) and we just started hanging out together. I finally found out that he gave me all these things to do because he thought I was one who easily becomes bored with routine and nothing to do (and he was right). And that he thought I was cute. Yes, cute! I just found myself looking forward to going to work and hoped that he was working the same time too. And when I saw him unexpected at a CD store, I was so uncharacteristically excited to see him. That's when I knew I've fallen for Boyfriend.

I knew I was falling for my guy the minute he made me breakfast!! There was just something about him that made me completely love him. We met at local bar where we both did karaoke, and hung out but prior to actually meeting him, there was a fight in the bar between some girls, he stood in front of me, to block me from being hit...so I figured there must be something there , not a lot of guys would do that. And then the next time we were both out, I introduced myself, and we hung out, and well, when the night was over , my girlfriend and I were going to get breakfast, and he said, hey...let me cook for you, and I let him, and the rest is history....Still today, breakfast is our favorite meal to cook together!!

Gosh that was a while ago. But it was after my hubby helped us move out of my ex's house. I couldn't sleep for a few days. One Saturday he was home (roomates) He laid down on the bed. I fell asleep I guess I took a long nap. When I woke up he was still there. It was sweet, and I guess that was the start..

Its a nice one you have shared, its the break time when we realise the need of a person in life who is repetitive as well. I just realised my spouse presense when she left for her mom place for pregancy and the time she was not with me was so frustating thou we know we are tightened but still i missed her

Well, I was unhappily married when we met and a friend of mine was interested in my now fiance. She kept coming to me and saying she wasn't sure about him, one day she'd want to date him and the next she wouldn't. I played go between with them for a while then realized I liked him. I guess it was about a week after I met him. I invited him over because we were both off work, one thing led to another. We stayed "friends" for a little while. Well, we started spending more and more time together. I kicked out my husband and we admitted our feelings to each other, been together ever since...2 kids and 3 1/2 years later and happier then we've ever been.

it started on my high school days,we were clasmates at that time, same as you, we were friends but not that closed. we see each other everyday but we didn't talk that very muc, until something happens to me, i was beaten up by my other clasmate, and she run away to protect me from being beat up, i was so shock about that i didn't think that she'd do that, since then my heart just stop at the moment, and i can't help the feeling of happyness whenever she smiles back at me, since that time i was totally in love with her. and i never thought that she'll ended up with me, since that time, i was texting her any kinds of conversation to notice me. everyday i pray for this day to come, and i'm praying that she love me too. i'd never forget that feeling of being inlove, it was the best feelings that i ever feel, feels like i'm floating in the air. :)

Well, we were introduced by my classmates when we were both in university, then we met one time but I didn't fall in love with him. He was in beijing and I was in Sichuan at that time. We seldom met only when we are at home spending holidays. Since we talked a lot over phone I found him like me very much and I like him a bit. So we just told each other the true feeling. Love started then. Now both of us are in Beijing and we love each other very much. Not long later we will get married. Wish happy life starts here.
