Do you have bad days?

I am having a bad day. I did not sleep well. We had a heavy thunderstorm during the night that caused leaking in the computer room and we were both up mopping up the water to keep the computers dry. I was panicking because my computer sits on the floor and had water under it, not enough to cause damage, thank God but it scared me. I don't know what I would do if I lost my computer. So I did not get much sleep, which is bad cause I do not sleep well anyway. Now I can’t think straight. Oh dear what a bad start to the day. Still the garden loved the rain and our water tanks are full again. What about you? Do you have bad days when nothing goes right?

I do all the time. I'm sorry to see you are having one. It always stinks when the inside of your house gets wet. Our basement gets water in it often when it rains a lot. I hope your day gets better or night whichever time zone you are in lol

Yes there are a lot of them around these days but I was really worried when I saw the water under my computer. I am just glad that the case has a small foot which saved it and I mopped it up straight away, this was at 3am, but I could not go back to bed until the storm had passed and I knew it was safe. I will have to find something higher to stand it on. I do not know what I would do without my computer and I am not sure if my insurance would cover it.

Oh yes, I do have bad days where everything I turns wrong! Sometimes I think that the day just have to pass on its own and until that day ends, nothing good happens. But thats wrong -its just my perception. I guess you have to make most of any day and try to make things better somehow.

Very true, sometimes it seems that nothing will go right but if we can turn our attitude around then we can sometimes turn the day around, as long as things are within our control.

No, not really that bad, not anymore. I do have days when I feel flustered, but in the end, I do what I can and go on. I am pretty well blessed with what I need, though I admit, it would be a hard go without the computer. I did wake up early today, had some things on my mind, but I will go ahead and go to bed early tonight, I am home from work, had no crisis there. I voted today, and made supper for my son's family before I went to work. It is an okay day, as most of mine are, really.

Oh yes... yes sometimes I have a bad day lol! Of course the definition of 'bad day' has changed over the years. A really rotten one I recall began with my son oversleeping and missing the school bus. THEN I had to wake up my daughter, who was three at the time, and she was really crabby because she had trouble going to sleep the night before. I had had insomnia the night before so there was I going on 3 hours of sleep. I drove my son to school, almost ran out of gas. I think I had an accident with some oil in a coffee can I was going to throw out so I had to spend at least half an hour trying to scrub used oil off TILE... while keeping a three year old both out of the oil puddle and out of the mop bucket. It got better after that, until my older daughter came home and brought a friend who suddenly had to be driven home by 5 pm and *I* was supposed to do the driving. I hate it when my kids do not ASK me first about things like that. I haven't had a really bad day in awhile, but I have been getting insomnia a lot lately.

That sounds like a bad day to me. It is always harder to cope with bad days on lack of sleep. I know that one. I have not had a good nights sleep for 2 years and when the insomnia builds up it makes little things hard to cope with. I feel for you. We never seem to realise how important good sleep is until we lose it. It is amazing how irritable we get when we do not get good sleep and it accumulates. I remember when I was young coping on little sleep and now I long for a good nights sleep.

When I was younger I could get by on little sleep. Now I can't, and if it piles up into several days of little to no sleep, I am a mess and can't function right and I'm not fun to be around either.

A bad day shared is a bad day doubled lol. It's a horrible sight, two people rising from their sleep exhausted, baggy-eyed, grumpy, creeping around the place as though we're in our 50s or 60s - oh, hang, on, we are. I'm surprised we haven't killed each other, or the dog. No, just joking, having a lot of bad days could make you like that, but it can also make you tolerant of other people's problems, so instead you simply comfort one another and cheer when one of you has a good night. Yes that is true, we do look like that these days and it has been a bad week, we can only hope next week is better. Oh well, maybe one of us will be lucky to get a good nights sleep in the next couple of days.

Well, if there was a storm I would love it I sleep like a baby in storms. I don't know why but when it rains I go to sleep like a bear in a cave for the winter. Why do you not go to the store buy a sturdy crate and put your computer on that? Even some cinder blocks would work. Also, move your computers to another room for now if you can until you can fix the roof.

I love storms as well. It is so nice to huddle in the blankets and listen to the rainfall. When it rains here it tends to be torrential and now that means flooding for us. Oh well. We moved the computers but fixing the roof is another matter. We were going to replace it in a few years when my super came through now we need a new one and I do not know where we will get the money.

I actually love the rain because we need it so much. We have a bad drought here but at the moment the roof is leaking and I am not well so I have times when it gets me down. I am a bit better now.

Oh that is horrible. I hope everything on the computer is still owrking. Yes I wake up and some days it is horrible and I just want to cry and other days I just want to find a hole and bury myself and dissappear. I have an autistic child and a husband who behaves like he is disable in his own way and depends on me for everything. So put them side by side, I have trouble everyday. Plus working full time kills me. I hope your day is beter tomorrow.

Yes the computer is still working but we have had to move everything into our spare room as it is the only other place with an internet connection. Now we need to find the money to fix the roof and that will be hard. You do sound like you have your hands full. That is tough.

did yo notice that at the end of your post you saw the advantages of the bad weather? We all have bad days and when it gets very bad I say to himself 'this too will pass'. Not all days are going to be good but try to end the day on a positive note. How you respond to problems or challenges is an example for any children you may have or other members of your household. Tjhis is just life! Now yoku have a wonderful rest of the day!

Oh yes I learned to be positive years ago and it stuck. I am sad the roof is leaking and worried about the damage that is being done but I can not do anything about it. Still the rain is good and the tanks are full and the garden is happy.

I know that feeling. I rarely get grumpy unless I am tired and in a lot of pain but that seems to happen so much these days. As for the roof it will take time to get it fixed so we just have to keep an eye on the place when the rain hits.

I have them sometimes, but not so often. Luckily. And nothing special bad has also not happened to me.. So I find it quite good. I have not so good days when I have got not so much sleep. Because I'm so away then with my mind and body, so it's impossible to do everything right.

almost all the time but it is mostly related to the fact that I have been unemployed for 3 years now with the economy heading downhill I really rely on pay2 and at home businesses to allow me to purchase things online the situations that stress me out the most aren't even related to things that happen suddenly like a heavy rain but more of things that I have dealt with now for at least 5 - 10 years and they seem to reciprocate over and over in a circle also I am not sure how heavy the computers you use are that managed to get damp but not damaged however the next time that a severe storm occurs and you insist on keeping the computer on the floor if you know of anyone that has a spare milk crate used for packing plastic milk jugs in during shipment to places like 711 or Wawa you would be better off because it is higher off the ground preventing problems from occurring beforehand

Well the computer is in a tower case that is why it sits on the floor. We have saved them by moving them to the spare room and rearranging all the furniture. The roof unfortunately needs to be replaced and that is not going to happen in a hurry. We are also not working and do not have the money to fix the roof. Oh well stuff happens and we are learning to deal with it.

Hello, I don't think you had a very bad day. You just lack sleep, that's all. it could have been worse. And like you said, there are some good things that happened such as the garden being watered and your tank filling up again. I think when things go wrong in our lives, something good happens as well but some of us tend to focus on the negative aspect of the day because that's just how we are psychologically. I hope you have a better week ahead!

Well you are very lucky. I have bad days when my pain levels are particularly bad or I have not slept very well, which is most days but I try and cope as much as possible. Some days are worse than others but when the roof leaked I got really upset as we have no money to fix it right now.

Thanks. It does get better. I like my computer and it is my main source of entertainment now so I would be quite upset if I lost it. (touch wood) It has worked out so far and I hope it does not happen again.

I believe that everyone sure had a bad day before and for some people bad day always around them. The important thing is how we going to deal with bad day. Are we going to just let it be or try to fight with the bad day. Sometime these thing are wierd, once the first thing you done is not well, the rest of the things you do in the rest of the day is going to effected. That what we call a bad day. Almost everything we do mess up. So in that case, we can clam down and try to think the solution.

Good point and I try and deal with them positively even when things go bad. At the moment I am having a bad week as my pain levels have been very bad and my sleep is worse than ever. Oh well, life goes on. We had water in here again last night and got up to check the roof today. I hope we have fixed the problem as replacing our roof is expensive and we do not really have the money right now.
